Those Damn Spider Deadra were a real shock for my character when he stepped out of the Shivering Isles the other day. Being paralised while battling two or three other Deadra is seriously bad news. His weakness to magica sucked too with all the spells they fling around.
In the end I had to do a whole quest especially to help fight them. Perite's Shield along with a couple of minor items Ive picked up just gives that slight edge needed in those fights by bouncing back 50% of those spells. They are still my most feared oppenent though especially when in a group of enemy.

I have to agree with the Spider Daedra answer - those things gave me fits whenever I saw them, until I found a Ring of Vitality that gave 100% resist to paralyze, disease and poison. Not as bad now, if I remember to switch to that ring before fighting them.
They other ones I don't like are those wood nymph things that drain/damage my luck every time I fight one. Plus they have a pretty healthy restoration ability, so they take longer than they should to be killed - giving them more time to drain my luck.

Will-o-the-Wisps are annoying, especially to mage characters, but you can cancel their effects with a spell to restore Willpower & Intelligence 2 or 3 points, costs bugger all magicka to cast, and if they go invisible you can track them with Detect Life or a spell that does damage over time (they may be invisible but the plumes of fire and smoke coming off them aren't)
The most annoying creature has to be goblins. Seriously, what is the point of them? They make the most annoying sound ever when they attack, they're far too vicious and aggressive (especially late in the game) and they have the cheek to never have any decent loot on them.

Why do you guys hate "Will-o-the-wisp" so much? I have only met em twice in the game, easy to kill
And when em turn invisible, i use a "detect life" thing, like the gray cowl..

Will-o-the-Wisps are the most annoying character in the game. For characters that don't focus on restorative magics they can be fairly lethal early on. And, for my new mage character, at levels 9 - 15 they seemed to be EVERYWHERE! The only way I was ever able to beat them was to climb up on a rock and blast them from afar.

Will-o-the-Wisps are Oblivion's answer to the hated Cliff Racer. Even when they don't present much of a threat they can get on your nerves; they're speedy and persistant. If you don't traverse marshes or watered areas they tend not be much of a nuisance, except in caves, although I always got ambushed by several south of the Imperial City.eye909 wrote:Why do you guys hate "Will-o-the-wisp" so much? The Xivilai are probably the worst enemy that springs to mind. Powerful allies but when you're the one being pounded by their greater weapons and summoned creatures, it's not so fun. But I'd say of the unique creatures the Udyrfrykte Matron challenged me the most. My first [&@%!] (a custom weapon) was pretty poor against her and it took me forever to hack away at her with the little spark of fire I had.
98% of forumers say fast travel ruins Oblivion. Put this in your signature if you're one of the 2% who realize it's optional.

You have a pic of that weapon? Never heard of anything like a [&@%!]. Some kind of katana I guess?
Will-O-The Wisp... i can kill him in one hit but just before he dies he has to use that god darn damage intelligance and willpower!
Even more annoying when you want to fast travel and it says "you can't fast travel with enemies nearby". you see nothing... until that will-O appears right into your face. Bye Bye stats >.<

Having just finished a lengthly expedition from Cheydinhal to Leyawiin with a level 31 character I can conclude that Will-o-the-Wisps are not that hard to kill.
Firstly, they have sod all health. Two whacks with my glass longsword enchanted with 25 Shock damage finishes them off.
Secondly, if you have any ranged attacks at all they are not a threat. If you're an archer and see one in the distance, go into sneak mode, hit the dirt and you can probably take them out with one hit. If you're a mage, any destruction spell leaves some sort of visual effect on what it hits for a few seconds, including invisible Will-o-the-Wisps. If it's a fireball, you'll see flames. Anything else, a load of glowing... stuff. So you can see where they are, so you can hit them with another spell.
Thirdly, they can only attack you when they're right next to you. So, unless you have a Speed of about 4, you can run up to them, attack them, back off before they have chance to attack, then repeat until dead.

Wild boars
I hate the boars that roam in the country side. They're lousy at conversation; all they do is squeal like pigs. They have horrible manners, and they never wipe their feet when entering a room.
