Literature
I wasn't quite sure where else to post this, and hopefully this question hasn't already been answered, but i was wondering who the authors of the books in-game were. I've been looking all over this site and wikipedia but can't find anything.

Re: Literature
I don't think the Authors are in Cyrodill
The only author which i know of who can be found is Alessia ottus the author of the guides, who can be found in the Imperial city.most Authors are in morrowind.
Here are all the authors.http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Books_by_ ... ssia_Ottus

Re: Literature
The Egg Of Time in Morrowind was written by Bthuand Mzahnch, who was a leading Dwemer scientist contemporary to Kagrenac and who the colony of Mzahnch is named after. Of course, The Lusty Argonian Maid was written by Crassius Curio in the Hlaalu canton in Vivec...

Re: Literature
I'm guessing that most of these books were present in morrowind(the game). That's why when these books were put in oblivion(also the game)they didn't move the authors.that's why we're stuck with a racist bigotr wrote:The Egg Of Time in Morrowind was written by Bthuand Mzahnch, who was a leading Dwemer scientist contemporary to Kagrenac and who the colony of Mzahnch is named after. Re: Literature
I think a lot of the more prominent writers just don't appear in-game. Why? Because as we saw in Oblivion, some of them go on to write additional books such as "The Argonian Account" and it wouldn't make much sense if you had just slaughtered them in the previous game

Re: Literature
lol sorry, i worded that question wrong, i meant to say who the actual real life authors were of the books in the game. i looked up the staff for morrowind and oblivion and the only thing close to who they would be is the writing staff, but i think thats more for the actual dialogue and everything in the game.

Re: Literature
Alessia Ottus isn't the only author you can encounter in Oblivion, there's the Imperial Casta Scribonia in Chorrol, and the Argonian Quill-Weave in Anvil. These are the only two that pop into my head, I'm sure there's probably more though.

Actually, I think you could email Bethesda about that. They may reply back with an answer, after all, they do have a QA department. Remember to ask nicely.Madroc wrote:lol sorry, i worded that question wrong, i meant to say who the actual real life authors were of the books in the game. i looked up the staff for morrowind and oblivion and the only thing close to who they would be is the writing staff, but i think thats more for the actual dialogue and everything in the game.
