Beautiful Songs

Post by randomfrog »

No, not catchy, not awesome, just beautiful. The one I shall name is called A Favor House Atlantic, by Coheed & Cambria. The song from about 2:00 in to the song all the way to the song is really amazing. Bye Bye, Beautiful.

Moonlight and The Battle To Heaven, both by Mono.
This Will Destroy You's A Three-Legged Workhorse and Happiness: We're In This Together.
Exxasens' Mira Mama and Stellar, both kind of 'hauntingly' beautiful.

Pelican's GW.
Sophia by The Butterfly Explosion.
What The Blood Revealed's Blood On The Turing Machine.
Vessels with Happy Accident (Bob Ross FTW) and Wave Those Arms, Airmen.
The Smashing Pumpkins' Tonight, Tonight and Perfect.
Foo's February Stars and Still.
And So I Watch You From Afar with The Voiceless.
God Is An Astronaut; Infinite Horizons, Post Mortem, Grace Descending and Remembrance Day.
Coldplay's Shiver.
Muse; Butterflies and Hurricanes, Starlight, Soldier's Poem, 3 Parts of Exogenesis and Hate This And I'll Love You.
The White Stripe's cover of Jolene.
Mogwai's Cody, Acid Food, The Sun Smells Too Loud and Tracy.
Placebo's Protège Moi.
Kids and Pieces of What by MGMT.
Nirvana's Plateau.

There's loads more, there's lots of beautiful music out there. :P

Everything They Might Be Giants have ever written where the subject isn't immediately obvious. Like Dr. Worm, I'm Impressed, Birdhouse in your Soul. Oh, and Electric Car, which is actually about an Electric Car.

Thank god I'm not the only person who listens to them. I would have to say Keeping the Blade(from Coheed and Cambria) is a beautiful song.

Since my PC doesn't want to read the bonus disc for Dragon Age: Origins, and I'm having trouble finding the names online, I can't pull up the song or artist, but the Main Theme (I assume that's what it is, it plays on the startup menu) is just gorgeous. It has this LotR Elvish hymn feel, but is also darker at the same time.

Edit: and before anyone brings it up, it is not that Marilyn Manson song from the trailers

Oh yeah, I forgot. The theme of the Eldar is very pretty too. Though it sounds like they're saying "weee, wee na postaneki." That can be overlooked with a loving eye. Or rather overheard.

Air on a G string is by far the best song when you're running through the rain in slow motion with tears on your face.

Grace is Gone by the Dave Matthews Band is an amazing song.

Oh, and any Halo music not from Halo 2, they screwed that up with the electric guitar. I think thats the only modern use of Gregorian Chant that Ive ever really enjoyed.

But I've only got about 6 of their tracks that were up to be downloaded on last.fm, not bothered to look further...

I wrote a beautiful song. I might post a linky.
Otherwise, beautiful songs include Name of the Game by The Crystal Method and Crazy by Gnarls Barkeley.

Listenin' to 'em right now, as a matter of fact.

Really, the only band I listen to anymore. With the exception of TSO this time of year. I'm going to their concert this month!
