I spend long days at the computer here at work; it's maddeningly quiet so I like to put on the ol' headphones and listen to the OST. It's weird; I've probably listened to this thing hundreds of times but I haven't gotten sick of it (...yet, lol). Hearing the music makes me think of places around Cyrodiil while playing the game. I should probably mention that I just cycle through all the 'atmosphere' music; none of the 'OHNOES A MUDCRAB!BATTLE!' tunes.
My favorite song is definitely 'Wings of Kynareth'. It's so evocative...some of Jeremy Soule's best work in my opinion.

I've always liked the music that plays when you first go to the menu screen. It almost summarizes the game in all its greatness.

I love the album, always listen to it when I'm working on my design homework. My favourite tunes are the 'auriels ascension' and 'alls well'
A hero can be anyone, even a man doing some as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hadn't ended.

I do have the soundtrack in my cell, and listens to it from time to time. I prefer the atmosphere and city music.

Interesting, I had never thought of picking up the soundtrack... that might be a worthwhile thing to do. I love Oblivion's soundtrack, but I've played with music disabled ever since I got the PC version, for performance and immersion reasons. Plus like any music, it got old after a while, through no fault of its own. Thanks for the idea, though, I'm definitely going to look into buying this.

You don't have to buy it, it comes with the game. Check your Oblivion folder!Bode wrote:Interesting, I had never thought of picking up the soundtrack... that might be a worthwhile thing to do. 'King and Country" is my favourite. It's a piece of exploration music that I find strangely relaxing. It's also the only ES related song I keep on my MP3 player.
"All right people, we created this multi-billion dollar facility under Cheyenne Mountain so that we can use this thing. Anyone know how?"
