Fleshcrave Island
Two of the RPs I've been in have been locked and the third has gone cold, so I decided to host my own (the others that look interesting are just too far along for me).
The setting is many years after Oblivion. Dwemer technology has been studied and used to create devices similar to the ones we have today (excluding cell phones). The RP takes place on a small, recently discovered, island on Nirn. On this island exists many deadly creatures similar to those on Tamriel. There is, however, one danger that has never been seen or studied. This danger is a toxin emitted from a plant native to only this island. The toxin brings on massive destruction on all parts of the brain that makes man and mer act human. On top of the mental destruction, the toxin brings on an insatiable hunger for human(oid) flesh that is set on by the sun. The people who join will be the only human(oids) that have an immunity to this toxin.
The plot is as follows: Expansion of civilization led the Imperials to seek suitable refuge on a landmass other than Tamreil. They found this island that seemed to be fit for life. The built enough structures for the first settlement on the island and sent a message to the mainland advising then to send the first group of people (roughly 200) to the island as to populate the settlement. The crews existing on the island added up to 800 individuals. The native plants didn't start to release the toxins until after the settlement had been built because the plants had no need to defend themselves until then. The ship transporting Population 1, as they had been titled, arrives at the island and prepares to stop a couple hundred yards off shore. Just as the captain prepares to stop and drop the anchor, he notices a strange smell in the air and is instantly under the effects of the toxin. With the loss of control, the ship runs aground and wedges into a bed of rocks on the edge of the shore. Fortunately, the sun was not visible through the clouds at this time so the effects of the toxin only appeared as an absence of mind. Those who were immune to the toxin, made their way off of the ship and begun to look around the shore for any signs of friendly life. (I know there was a shipwreck RP already, but it was locked because it was going nowhere. I have a plan set forth already)
The only rule is that what I say goes, and what I say (so far) is as follows: You can have whatever powers or equipment you'd like, as I'm sure none of you will go so over the top that it ceases to be fun. The only restriction is that you must get permission form me via PM before using any outstanding powers/abilities/equipment so I can make sure that it doesn't cause to RP to undergo any dramatic changes. You are allowed to form alliances and enemies as you see fit. Your character can have a backstory and personality description if you wish, but it's not required. All I need is names, races and genders. Feel free to be as descriptive as you'd like beyond the required pieces. It will help to know more about each character, that way we all will be able to act accordingly. Try to remain with the group, if your character strays off then it adds elements to the RP unnecessarily. If you have a plan that involves wondering off for a period of time, get permission from me first. The goal is to try to escape (duh), but I have a creative idea or to as to how that will happen. I will decide one way or another when the time comes. I will try to inform you if I will be away for any extended period of time, and I would like the same courtesy in return. I do understand that you all have other things to do and won't always be able to notify me of an extended absence, so it's not required. Other than that (unless I think of anything else) start throwing your characters my way and we will get started shortly.
My character information:
*The great Troku makes a valiant leap to another RP (plus some changes)*
Name: Troku
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Race: Chimer and Kajiit hybred, Chi-jiit (Chi is an intentional subliminal reference to an anime, but I won't go into that)
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 175 lbs. (lean muscle)
Hair color (body and head): sandy brown (body has dark red patch like stripes)
Eye color: cement grey
Land haled from: Black Marsh (could explain the toxin immunity)
Personality: Exactly the same as the Stranded on Akavir counterpart. (I'm too lazy to rewrite it so if you really want to know just look it up)
Backstory: Troku (pronounced, Two-dough-Koo) was born and raised in the black marsh amongst a poverty stricken village. He was raised as a monk but also practiced in various combat arts including the arcane. At the age of 18, he moved to the Imperial City in hopes of starting a new life. Within just a few weeks, Troku was roped into the military for the next two years. He was trained as a sniper in the spec ops for his natural stealth and agility. Upon release at age 20, Troku joined a Magus academy to expand upon his existing knowledge of the arcane arts. He practiced with the Magus academy for two years, then signed up to be in the first population (later named Population 1) of the expansion project.
Armament: Because he didn't expect to be in a hostile situation, he is only armed with a .45 caliber side arm and his trusty combat knife (15" total length). Troku creates the ammo for his side arm using super condensed Telekinesis formed into bullets. He also has an array of magics at his disposal.
(feel free to use this format for your character)

Re: Fleshcrave Island
Alright! I didn't even notice this before. Good idea Reaper!
Name: Oiobala
Race: Thought to be Ayleid
Gender: Male
Age: 964
Hair Style: High Style
Personality: Extremely wise and kind. However, he can get angry, and will also fight when needed. But his kindness shines through even the most evil.
Backround: Born nearly 1000 years ago, Oiobala knows all. His dedication to magic has given him incredible abilities. During his youth, he was a well-known member of the Mages' Guild, and was part of the Council of Mages. It was rumored that Oiobala was actually an Ayleid, as his name suggests. This is probably true, as his magical powers are enhanced to incredible amounts, even to the point where he is able to use Welkynd magic. However, after the toxin was released upon the land, he went into hiding in an unknown Ayleid ruin for a very, very long time, until he boarded the ship which later crashed. How he survived to such an age, it is not known. But he intends to use his powers to protect his comrades.
Equipment: A bright robe with Ayleid writing all over it, Elven shortsword.
Abilities: Can use Welkynd magic, but fights poorly with a blade.
The only truly amazing thing he can do is to use Welkynd Magic. Plus he's crazy smart. Is that too much power?

That depends on what you are wanting to use. Their will be no nuking in this game but you can use things like jet packs.
I should also inform everyone that I'm on Western Pacific time.

Joining my 6th RP
Name: Tynette
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Race: Breton
Height: 5'6
Weight: 160 lbs
Hair Color: Brown
Eye color: Blue
Land hailed from: Morrowind (specifically, Vvardenfell)
Personality: Constantly poetic and romanticist. Dislikes being around more than a person or two at a time. Prefers to be alone and writing.
Backstory: Tynette followed in the steps of her father, a bard. She loves to write and dream, and she has no qualms about thievery if the time is dire. She feels shy when among other people, so she prefers to sequester herself and spend time philosophizing. Her father's closest friend was an Argonian mage, who gave her an amulet that allowed her to breathe water and be resistant to poison.

Re: Fleshcrave Island
I apologize for the double post, but this is one of the cases where it's needed....
I've waited long enough. We're going to start and anyone can join at any time. (like other RPs, tell me that you want to join through a PM and I'll work you in).
As night approaches, the small group build a rickety little shelter at the mouth of a cave. Troku stands at the mouth and says, "I'm gonna go see what's in there. You are all welcome to join me if you wish." Troku creates a fireball in his hand ad walks into the cave.

Hearing the call from behind, Troku stops and waits for Oiobala. They continue into the cave to find nothing spectacular. A few piles of rocks and a little vegetation. The go back to the mouth and Troku says, "Not much of anything back there. We should be safe here for the night."

Re: Fleshcrave Island
"No there's nothing more than rocks and moss. It seems as though nothing has lived in this cave for some time." Just as Troku finished speaking, he saw a figure moving toward them. He places his hand on the pistol strapped to his waist and watches the figure move toward them. As it came into view, the figure turned out to be another survivor!
Name: Geno McDuggon
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Race: Nord
Height: 5'11
Weight: 190 lbs
Hair Color: Brown
Eye color: brown
Land hailed from: Imperial city
Personality: Pretty friendly and enjoys being in the company other others. Likes to train with light armor and weapons (daggers) and also uses bow and arrow.
Dislikes people who really only care about themselves. Also doesn't like thieves if they have stolen from his family
Backstory: Geno's family was a very simple family of farmers. His Uncle was a knight and when Geno was 10, he was trained as a squire. His father was never able to be a knight, as he had been injured as a child and never gained movement in his left arm.
When Geno was 20, he was fully knighted and was trained in heavy weapons, but prefers to fight in close range with daggers. In one battle his best friend, an Argonian Mage, gave him a ring that would protect him from poison and it would allow him to breathe underwater. It was also in this battle that his friend died from a blow to the head. It was at this point in his life that he decided he couldn't bear to live with what happened so he wanted to leave his home and boarded a ship. Little did he know that his friend was still with him because of the ring and that is the one thing that allowed him to survive the poison.

Re: Fleshcrave Island
"Oiobala, in your array of arcane arts, do you possess the ability to use telekinesis? You could use that to hold parts of whatever we build in place while the builders secure them. Geno, as long as you can drive nails that is all we need. I can make nails using the stone in the cave and we can bind the moss together for string. I have a hammer in my pack, you can grab that and keep it with you." Troku begins scribbling in the dirt and then says, "I think the first thing we aught to do is assess our weaponry. I have a pistol, knife and a decent grasp on the arcane arts. Oiobala, you possess the ability to use the arcane arts to a far superior level. We can use that. Geno, what kind of weaponry might you have?"
