Post by catchascancatch »

I had just completed the quest turning a blind eye, and I have fences around 1200 gold, but no one is going to contact me, and I cant find grey fox.

Any suggestions?

You have to wait in the Imperial City. If you (have) moved around alot, then she has to come find you. Which takes longer. Find an Inn, and take a nap or two, or three.

How long did you wait? Sometimes it takes a while before the messenger arrives. Just stay a day or two in one town, and they will find you.
I used to play Oblivion, then I took an arrow in the knee.

Has anyone found an answer to this one yet? I am stuck in the exact same problem. I even made my character wait in the Imperial City Waterfront for like 3 days-- and nothing! Methedhrel is normally Grey Fox's contact for this type of thing, and the ditsy elf walks right past me, saying something stupid like "I see you're a follower of the Grey Fox, too".

Does anyone know the setstage console command that can force this quest line to move forward? I miss my Thieves Guild !

the messenger for the gray fox is Amusi after the turning of the blind eye

and also the wait can be very easily a week or so and FYI you don't have to be in a city but it can help sometimes smaller cities like bruma are best to wait in

setstage 36336 10
Amusei sought me out and delivered a message from the Gray Fox. I am to meet him at the home of Malintus Ancrus in Chorrol. He has another task for me. It seems Amusei has finally straightened up and joined the Thieves Guild. He is even trusted enough to deliver messages for the Gray Fox.

He is a thief, and sometimes gets caught stealing, and spends some time in jail. It is not uncommon to have to wait a week.

can NPCs actually go to jail? (other than in quests) I thought they usually resist arrest he could be unconscious in a guard barracks...

He does. Oviously he's not a very good thief. Which is probably why the Gray Fox just has him running errand, and delivering messages.

I actually didn't believe it either at first. Until I went there, and saw him. It was the Leywaiin Jail.

It is, earlier in the Thieves Guild Quest Line. At this point, he should already be out.

That is Ahdarji's Heirloom Quest (Leyawiin Jail), where you give him a pick to get out on his own.

If he is not out on his own, he won't be in jail in Skigrad, for the Lost Histories Quest, where he has to follow you out.
