Post by Chris 22 »

Hi sorry if this has been posted before i gave up Azuras Star and didnt realise i could of kept it and gave Martin some other Daedric artifact like that stupid and useless Wabbajack.

STAGGER YOUR SAVES man. so you can go back. any time I face a questionable choice in the game, I go stash a save like 20 entries back just in case.

so, yeah, that [&@%!] is GONE man, and had you researched the quest online, most guides list that particular artifact as the one you MUST NOT GIVE UP, along with the skeleton key ;)

so go to an old save, or just foget it ever existed man, and move on.

Sorry i never use guide's i try to finish the game without Help! i get the guide after finishing all missions and just use them as info that's why in my post's what i have put on here have been questions not HELP i.e Shadowmere Lost , Azuras Star , Grove of Reflection , POLL's , M'aiq the liar.

So sorry i didnt research the quest before i did it dude but i thought the choices i made was mandatory to the game and didnt know i had other choices on The Blood of Daedra quest or i wouldnt have gave him the Star.

I was just wandering if i could get it back thats all!

I made the same 'unintentional' mistake on the 1st game / profile I played with, and didn't realize there was even an option to give a different daedric artificat.

Now, I'm playing with a new character/profile, and there's a few things I will never give up, such as:

- Azura's Star
- Umbra sword
- Honorblade of Chorrol
- Skeleton Key

It is a shame the game dialogues didn't give more, such as 'any daedric artificat will suffice', instead of Martin requesting 'Azura's Star'.

So, unfortunately, as you've now found out the hard way - Azura's Star is now gone for you.

So, the next time you play with a new character (and you know you will), keep the damn thing! :-)

I gave away umbra's reward, not by mistake, i hated the thing  also umbra isn't an artifact (i don't think) you hand it in to a shrine and you get something else, trouble is i can't remember what... some mask i think.

Thre real reason having a PC, and the use of the Consol, is better, is to fix the many bugs. Then the many mods available.

If I had a penny for every Game Console user who had a problem, and ended with, "...now I have to start over". I could buy... umm... a pack of smokes.

I haven't had to many problems myself. If you are lucky, then you probably haven't either. Others are not so fortunate though.

Hm, let's see what I would do... Keeping an ordinary sword with a good base damage or getting a shield with 35% reflect damage? I think I'll take the shield.

I indicated I won't give up the honorblade, but I didn't say I wouldn't have the shield as well, which I do (alternate game/profile).

I created a thread on how to have both. :-)

the console seems like it would make the game feel more like a tool than a game I know the argument would be that the console allows you to fix bugs well I have been running oblivion since it was released for the PS3 and other than one little bug I encountered which I doubt the console could fix anyways
my game play has been smooth and convincing and if its so hard you feel like cheating then put the difficulty slider down.

That would not be the consoles fault that would be plain stupid human error, and the fact that you hold the pc console corrections So high and that they help soo much kinda makes a statement about pc users...

Pc versus Xbox?

I`ll just mention one thing as why I prefer Xbox.

I play it on a screen over 200" wide.
Full surround!
2 Subwoofers 15" each!
And a house all by myself.

Sitting infront of a small screen on your poor pc......
Well, your missing out on a spectacular gaming experience!!!

Its 200" wide yes.

16-9 letterbox screen.

200" from the top left corner, to the bottom right one.
Pretty big.
And combined with pretty big speakers.

Awsome.
Playing on pc is rubbish.

I'm still having a hard time believing its that big and "from the top left corner to the bottom right" thats not width thats a diagonal measurement width is say bottom left to bottom right

Actually, I hook up computers to TV's all the time. :P

Peoples, emoticons... :P  <= joking.
the console seems like it would make the game feel more like a tool than a game
You do not know how true that is. One of the reasons I took a few months off from the forums, and the game. I was spending so much time here, and at the Official Elder Scrolls Forums, finding fixes for others, that I was getting burned out.
That would not be the consoles fault that would be plain stupid human error
Probably, in most cases that would be true. However, look at the Wiki walkthroughs. At the bottom of most Quests, it lists Glitches. There are quite a few.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Glitches

That's just all of the Glitches for Shivering Islse. One reason I have yet to install it.

I see i mistyped.
Its not 200" wide, rather 200" big.
The same way you measure a tv.
Top left to bottom right.

Only drawback is that its not HD... yet.
If I want full HD the screen will most likely be a bit smaller.
The cost for a new HD projector is, well expencive.

And now I have a used barco projector. Costs hell!!
Search around on barco, you`ll see how a 200" screen looks.

a 200" tv?
silly.

the biggest these days is 70" I guess. Costs hell!
Useless I say.

If your going to play and watch movies.
Buy a projector and some speakers.
Its awsome.
