Love is sacrificing everything for someone that you truly care about. We just care about each other more than any of our other friends. So there's been a lot of sacrifice, and it's all been worth it. The gender of your partner does not classify your orientation; many men who consider themselves "straight" are actually bisexual because they do not take into account the fact that, no matter the gender of who you're interested in, personality-wise, sexuality is about attraction to genders, not attraction to people. If you are, in fact, only attracted to someone's personality regardless of gender, you're classified as "pansexual". Take into note, however, that in order to be considered "gay", for instance, the possibility of lifetime partnership with someone of your own gender must an option. If you only want your own gender for sexual gratification, well.. honsetly, get out of our pool, you're mussing it up... and try to save your urine for the toilet, please! We don't need your vindiction showing itself as a purple stain in the water!
I can't tell if that was condescending or not. I'm not opposed to spending the rest of my life with another guy, but there will definitely be no sexual interaction. What say you to that, my friend?

Wolf wrote: Stereotpyes are such for a reason, Mr. Blaze  . I myself, being a gay person, while not as effeminate as amany other gay people one might find in the limelight, recently found myself letting loose to Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" :P . To be honest, I'm not sure what it is, but effeminacy, while not a determinate of sexuality, does have a connection to it. Not all effeminate males are gay, but there is a very good chance that, if you find a male who is effeminate, he is homosexual as well.

Conforming to stereotypes, however, is not as bad as one might think. Social stigmas will always be commonplace in society, but if you are gay and love to go out clubbing and wear drag, more power to you :D . It's about being who you are, not about being different. Many people mistake homosexuality as an attempt for non-conformity, or even as an attempt to conform to a different set of rules, and while in some cases there are people who claim to be homosexual solely for the purpose of being different, most gay men are gay because that's just what felt right to them. That's certainly the way it is for me! I'll be honest, I myself did have a reluctancy to claim that I'm actually a huge fan of the fairy scene, Lady Gaga, and just normal gay stereotypes, but I came to realize that I was only afraid of being "labeled" or "branded". If you don't feel that you're into pop music and clubbing, that's fine, you might be ready to settle down with someone and have kids-- I know that, mostly, I'm ready for just such a thing, but there's still a fire deep inside of me that wants me to let loose every now and then -- but if you are one for the glitterati and pride parades, then go have fun and dance your way onto the stage! Just be who you really are, and you can't go wrong. Although, psychological help is recommended for those of you who frequently hurt other people by being who you are  . I'm looking at you Dark Lord! :P
I suppose you are right, I just don't like how many people will think that stereotypes and hasty generalizations are always right and will assume things without any real reason. And for the most part I am not the stereotypical gay guy (or bi in my case) but I do notice many effeminate things about me occasionally... Which at times are quite fun/funny  oh, and you can call me Icy by the way  that was the first time I've been called Mr. Blaze
Ah ha ha ha. Oh, no. Magic is no laughing matter. I am always deadly serious.

Following the Soctratic method of teaching, I ask you what you, yourself, do say to that. Taking in all of the information from the quote of mine you posted, you will be able to determine my answer to your question, and indeed to your sexuality, from the knowledge and experience you have of your own life comapred to the parameters of the information; I can tell you that much truthfully, but you can figure the rest out on your own.

And no, it was not meant in any condescending, contentious, or patronizing manner.

Well, after reading that load of quotes, I still say that I'm straight. I don't want to do anything with a guy sexually, and while I do like guy's personalities, not in the romantic way.

Indeed, Mr. Lord. While many people offer themselves to the algorithm-- whatever the outcome-- so many more forget to realize that others will not have the same results. The point of that post wasn't for you to find out your own sexuality, it was intended for you to understand that there are many different people with many different tastes. Since we, as humans, are incabale of fully implimenting ideas that we don't understand, it is pertinent to make certain that, through the acquisition of all available, reliable knowledge, one can understand what it means to be "accepting" of others of different persuasions. This concpet, however, is universal and does not apply solely to sexuality; it can apply to all manner of things in which a given person does not understand and therefore cannot make accurate conclusions.

:) Sweetheart, you don't have to keep saying that. We understand that you're applying your statement to yourself, so any third-party perception of offense is completely unreasonable.

I don't think you need worry; that's the beauty of this forum. We're all (mostly) understanding and open-minded and don't always assume the worst. Says a lot about the minds of man when people feel the need to defend themselves so much; people are too easily offended.

Man, I hate people who think I'm racist for calling African Americans blacks. I mean, jeez! They call themselves that! Anyway, back on topic. It's nice to know that none of you get offended at the touch of a button.

Unfortunately, Mr. Frog, the term "blacks" is dictatorially offensive and meant to be used as a derogatory term. The unique property of this specific word, and others like it, is that it is being used as a noun rather than a verb, as if to say that such a person is this and nothing else. The same rule applies, dictatorially and socially, to the word "gays". The key to avoiding a profane connotation with the word is to use it as an adjective-- "black person" or "gay person"-- which focuses the weight of being black or gay to a mere trait of the person, rather than having the trait encompass all of who the person is; it also provides a more humanitarian approach to a minority in stressing that the being is a person, like every other human, and has no unique quality about him or herself that could make him singular in the entire species and therefore a target for any justifiable social expulsion.
The sharpest word may be uttered with the softest tongue.

Ah yes, but many African Americans use that term to name themselves. In the words of Young Jeezy, "My president is black". He was saying this proudly, glad that his president is black. I myself couldn't care less. But the point is, they call themselves that, and if they considered it insulting, they wouldn't.

Same thing with the n-word. If a black person calls me white trash, I call them the n-word. Fair game.

Or you could try being the bigger person and not give them any reasons to hold a grudge towards you.. but whatever. 1) Not a good subject to talk about at 1:30am (for me) and 2) Not on topic.

To be honest I've never found anyone saying 'the gays' or 'your a gay' insulting, I feel it's more about the context it's used in. If I feel it's being used maliciously I'll take offense.
