Best weapon in the game?

Go. I say Goldbrand. It's just such an incredibly powerful weapon - it slices through almost anything like an electrified knife through partially-melted butter, and what makes it even better is that it has a ridiculous amount of charge - 76 uses for it, I think. And the quest to get it is a good place to get loads of cool [&@%!].

Although, having said that, in the right hands a decent bow, a high Sneak skill and a few good potions can be unbeatable.

I may have forgotten some. Post them here and I'll add them.

Aww the Staff of Worms isnt up there

doesn't exactly to much damage but it is great for a "thing to do then you're bored" and is it classed as a weapon.

I made a sword with a soul-trap for 1sec and 30 fire/shock damage it has about 150 uses fully charged costs about 2k to full charge through mages guild and has been so far the best I have had

How do you get a larger charge because i previously enchanted a daedric longsword with soul trap 1sec and 25 shock damage but it only had 14 uses?? and it was a grand sould gem.

I used a black soul gem deadric short sword with 15 fire 15 shock maybe its the black soul gem or that it was a shortsword

A longsword you get for completing Boethia's quest, does a ridiculous amount of fire damage.

I found Goldbrand it was in my house in Skingrad lol

i think there are better weapons than that though Duskfang/Dawnfang does 30 base dammage and frost and fire dammage

Changeing the subject TOTALY well sort of! so sorry

If i remember on Morrowind wasnt there a weapon in Bloodmoon xpac that was a Severd Arm and wasnt it classed as Blunt weapon?

Is there any cool weapons like that in Oblivion ?

I always carry the Goblin Totem Staff around with me it looks wicked and the Staff of Worms is fun to have and for Blade i use Dawnfang/Duskfang or Perfect Madness Claymore enchanted Dammage health 25 and Blunt i use Nevershatter or my own Grummite Cudgel what ive enchanted to turn Undead upto level 25 or my Perfect Madness Axe enchanted Dammage health 25 :twisted: And a Grummite Cleaver what does enchanted 30 health dammage :twisted: And my Perfect Madness Bow 10 fire 10 shock 10 frost all for 1sec on strike.
Dont know the base dammage for them im not on Oblivion at the moment

and for armour i wear Perfect Madness Armour all enchanted for Strength/Blade/Blunt/Block/Shield fortify on self , but dont wear a helmet i wear Gray Cowl Of Nocturnal or Bladeturn Hood and carry loads of rings & amulets around with me im changeing them all the time lol depending on what im doing in the game.

So do you like my weapons & armour list what i carry around with me ?

umbra does the most damage, by far. more so than any enchanted weapon. implicitly, i'm a mage, i can do 5000 magic damage to an area, so magic damage really doesn't interest me in a weapon. the only real weapons a mage would use are for the occasional monster that's 100% magic resistant. as such, umbra is the only choice.

I use the CS to make my own.

Mage Razor (Mehrunes Razor) 36 damage + 25 Absorb Health & 25 Absorb Magica

I picked Mehrunes Razor because I killed 3 minotaurs in a row with it, with a blade skill of 20 and STR of 62, at level 20. That was a fun fight.

Think its 28 or 30 and im 110 in Blade skill personally i think its the worst weapon in the game i have weapons with higher base dammage

all it does is soul trap and thats only good if you carry loads of soul jems around with you or a soul tomato or Azuras star thats if you have done that quest then you wont need the other two i mentiond.

Thats my opinion , sorry if i upset anyone.

I don't think Umbra's that good either, I just use a Daedric dagger enchanted with damage health, weakness to magic and soul trap. Much less weight to carry around and a pretty potent weapon in its own right.

Yeah, nothing beats a properly enchanted daedric dagger. Maybe only a bow with a poisoned arrow. But then, you still can poison your dagger, too.

OMG!

I just found Umbra in her ruin. She totally kicked my 4th level ass all over the place for a while. Until I went to the staff shop and bought Apothesis.

Umbra does more than twice the damage of my old sword and weighs 0LB

What a weapon!!!

Goldbrand 25 Damage + 22 Fire Damage = 47 Damage Base

Umbra 28 Damage Base + Soul Trap

What benifit is the Soul Trap, if that is the ONLY enchantment on the weapon. You are only soul trapping, so you can soul trap again.

You need to be level 20 to do it and i would suggest a lot of extra weight and/or a feather spell as there's nice loot..and lots of magical arrows
