Done some more paid typing. Even though I didn't come up with it, I think that the line "I rounded a sharp corner and hit an Arab of some sort" is the greatest thing I have ever written.

Crisis situation! It actually happened a couple of days ago, but it is so traumatic that I've forgot to tell you.

Or, to be honest, I don't have the books I want to read. I can't say I'm out of books; I've got 130 of them in my room.

Read Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.
If you actually understand the plot first time through, drop me a PM.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I'll second that. It's a great book. I had to read it through 2-3 times to get the plot properly, though. I can also recommend reading any Terry Pratchett book you've not yet read. I have Good Omens just waiting for me to finish writing exams.Dogmantra wrote:Read Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.

While you're buying it, pick up everything else Douglas Adams has written:
The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Life, the Universe and Everything
So Long and Thanks for all the Fish
Mostly Harmless
(if you like them and hate yourself, you might look into And Another Thing by Eoin Colfer: it's a continuation of the series, though I'm not sure it's out yet)
The Deeper Meaning of Liff (which includes everything from The Meaning of Liff)
The Salmon of Doubt
The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul (the second Dirk Gently book)
and finally, the only one I don't own:
Last Chance to See.

Coincidentally, on Thursday, my Geometry teacher gave a freebie answer on his test; which was multiple choice. One of the answers was '42'. I laughed.Dogmantra wrote:While you're buying it, pick up everything else Douglas Adams has written:

I'm not made of money! But I'll see what I can do. I've thought about reading The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy for years... it might be time to actually go through with it.Dogmantra wrote:While you're buying it, pick up everything else Douglas Adams has written:

I have to get them shipped to Sweden, but I am looking at another site right now and they're not that expensive.
(Plus I don't have to pay anything for the delivery)

Yeah! I'm thinking about buying them and reading them again, I've only read like the first two sagas, but I definitely want to read the whole series and want to start from the beginning.

Yeah I was thinking of read them but I was turned off from reading them because the girl that referred them to me was one those girls that you know end up being a crazy cat lady.

In a fit of acting out a story detailed in 'Civilisation' by Joe Gideon and the Shark, today I am going down (up?) to London, to learn the ways of man.

Dang. I came back from like a two day absence and I learned that Cactus left, permanently. What a way to ruin a Sunday.

Went to band practice, wrote a new song which will be premiered at our gig tomorrow night where we'll probably make a complete Ronnie of it because we've only played it twice ever as a band. Bought Dan Brown's new book too, which I am about to start reading.

More Jane Austen. And I made chilli for dinner. It was delicious.

There was an amazing cat fight today at my school. One of 'em got beat up pretty bad but the insults before the fight were freaking hillarious.
