Hey, I've been playing TES since I was 11, which was shortly before/after Morrowind came out, and I've been hooked on it ever since. I've probably reinstalled Morrowind 130+ times, and Oblivion is now at 46. But anyways, in-game my character usually goes by the name of Drathan (insert last name here), and I'm generally more of the sneaky-sleuth type. Not really big on armor or magikca, the latter is strange for a Breton, but hey, I get the job done.

I've been teaching myself how to draw for the express purpose of creating a comic strip, which I am going to call "Insult And Injury", and it will be an amalgam of sorts based in Tamriel/Nirn. Amalgam meaning frequent appearances of random characters from my other favorite pieces of fiction, as well as my own.

I'm from The Great State of Texas, aka The Land of Steers and Queers, and I'm proud of it. Please don't disrespect me just because you didn't like Bush. He was born in Georgia. Coincidentally, so was my dad. Hahaha.

The name is Jake Jarvis by the way, feel free to call me RobotNixon, Drathan, or Jake, or Jarvis, or...

Seems somewhat fitting that the 100th page, a milestone for this thread, should see the departure of Cactus, a milestone in the history of the UESP. When I first joined, and was an annoying newbie who thought he owned the place, there was another member (not a moderator) named Cactus. We didn't really ever speak to each other, because I used the Morrowind section almost exclusively, and he hung around mostly in Oblivion. Soon, I moved to General more often, and I spoke with him a few times. We had a couple of PM conversations, and soon he was made into a mod. When I saw this, I'm not ashamed to say I actually shouted "awesome" out loud for him. A more appropriate person could never have been chosen. We became closer friends and we did some silly stuff together. Cactus almost left around the same time I did, but we kind of talked each other back into it, with the help of other members. Now, he has left for real. While I can't disclose the details out of respect, I can confirm that it's very unlikely he'll be back. Cactus was a brilliant member, mentor to me in terms of modship, and a great friend. I don't think many people would argue if I said he was almost certainly in the top three most helpful, kind, caring and funny members of this forum.

I'm also not ashamed to say I almost cried when writing this. Cactus made a big impression on me and it'll be sad to see him go.

Goodbye, Cactus.

I'l remember you cactus, you were one of the few people i truly enjoyed talking to, along with about 7 others. this is terrible...i..i just dont know what to say. It came out of nowhere. he seemed to be in a generally good mood since his depression days. I was so sure i would never see this day.

Wait... I think that Cactus would be much more dramatic if he was actually leaving. I mean, he's already told us that he was leaving like three times and not actually left. And while I cannot speak for the Cacti, I almost certain that this place has not just caused him pain. But then again, maybe I'm just in denial, because he was my most favoritest member of the forums ever. If you are indeed serious, then goodbye. :'(
