Moon Shadow

This invisibilty lark is getting on my nerves, i saved my game and tried to kill someone whilst invisible but kept getting caught. I was only killing someone to see if i was invisible.

what can the problem be?

The invisibility spells ceases when you perform an action, therefor you are getting caught. But if you are 100% chamelion, you can hit and slash all you want, without anyone striking back.
I used to play Oblivion, then I took an arrow in the knee.

Invisibility wears off as soon as you pick up or strike something; it's purpose is to make you invisible so you can get by unseen. Chameleon on the other hand lasts as long as the spell does and can make you utterly invisible (if you have 100%) AND give you the benefits Invisibility doesn't.

Still, high Stealth beats Invisibility and Chameleon hands down. I get one hit kills all the time and am never seen. ^_^
