Also, to expand on Cactus's post, Vampires in TES lore are actually just diseased people. They're still alive. (And believe me they are still alive. And while you're dying, they'll be still alive. And when you're dead they will be still alive. Still alive. Still alive.)

Re: Scariest game you ever played
The scariest game I ever played was doom 3 in the middle of the night. I practically [&@%!] my pants after I got out the bathroom and I was now in hell!
Also when I was little I played timesplitters 2 and the zombies in the first level in siberia were pretty freaky. Got some nightmares and stuff.

Definetely resident evil 1 I don't kow how old I was at the time but when ever it first came out I am now 20 but it would still scare the s**t out of me. The part I remember was when you were in a small corridor and dogs jumped through the windows. I am yet to play any of the fears yet though looking forward to that...ish lol

Re: Scariest game you ever played
The scariest game I ever played was Area 51 for the xbox. It took me about a year maybe to get past this one room where mutants came out of the dark when you were out in the open. What really scared me though is how they appear out of no where when you turn around.
Luckily for me, the game got easier and less scary as you went along (Until you have to fight the giant mutant thing...

Re: Scariest game you ever played
meh, area 51 was an easy game, wasnt too scary, but they did do a brilliant job of getting the mutant fighting right until you had to start fighting the illumanati (humans)i did the game on hardest difficulty (got the alien grey skin for multiplayer) and collecte devery single document so i 100% did the game, i liked it though

Re: Scariest game you ever played
I was playing "fear" at like 4:00 AM at my friends house on his PS3 and his TV brightness was turned down low (idk why) and my gun's flashlight had died and i was walking down a hallway for like 10 min with no enemies (scary right?) well i rounded a corner and walked in to hell (literally). The ground wad red and spiky and strange (like and oblivion gate). I fell offa his couch onto the floor and was like "OMG WTF".
Scariest games are bioshock, and... cant think of any others that are scary all the time.

Thief: Deadly Shadows, Shalebridge Cradle section, it's an orphanage which was also an asylum and burned down. Since you're a thief you have absolutely nothing to help you against ghosts anyway, but this part is just about sneaking through abandoned dark halls to find lost items, constantly stalked by enemies (the building itself) which will mean your end, all so you can exorcise the ghost of a child who died there. Very creepy

Re: Scariest game you ever played
I'd have to say the dungeons in Mournhold for me. Call me a wimp, but it freaks the heck out of me when I think I've cleared out a section of the sewers, walk around the corner, and there's a looming Bonelord grinning at me. I know they're not that tough, but they are SCARY when you don't have any lights on and you're playing full screen.
Aside from that pleasant memoir, I got freaked out by some zombie scene from King's Quest (dumpy graphics I know, but still).

Re: Scariest game you ever played
fallout 3 was pretty scary, while killing ghouls to get the ghoul mask i used like 4 stealth boys and was so juiced afterwards i nearly freaked out on my sister. however the scariest game i played was one of the resident evils, i was actually watching my friend play and he was going through a mansion talking about a chainsaw guy outside, and when he turned the corner, a chainsaw guy took him out with a chainsaw to the neck. like watching a blood explosion *shiver*

Aliens vs Predator.
You're a marine. You're stranded in an empty base on emergency lighting. You grab your pulse rifle and head out to try and escape. You go through dull empty corridors and rooms in the abandoned complex. Then suddenly the lights go out completely. Your motion sensor starts bleeping. It gets louder and louder and higher and higher, and a little white dot on the display gets closer and closer to your position. You panic and empty your magazine into the darkness, and then you switch to nightvision to check that you killed the approaching enemy. Turns out your motion sensor detected a moving cargo lift. Some of the lights come back on. You breathe a sigh of relief, and just when you think you're safe, you hear a screeching sound in your ears as a xenomorph leaps down behind you and cuts you to pieces.
It captures the essence of the movies perfectly.

It's not the basement that scared me... the first part was the most scary IMO, not to mention the flashback.Guy No. 2 wrote:Interesting Story:theJman wrote:Im scared to death of undead in oblivion, but for some reason fallout 3's ghouls don't bother me.

I don't like flashbacks at all, that's why I hate to go in Vault 106. That's definitely my most scariest moment in a game ever. Exploring Vault 106 without any companions.

Re: Scariest game you ever played
Do you mean Vault 87 with the test subjects or Vault 112 with the Transquility Lane virtual simulation?

Re: Scariest game you ever played
Yknow, I've been discovering that Morrowind is creepy as hell at times. I have this mod that expands werewolf and vampire stuff, adding them into the main game instead of just their specific locations, so you can randomly meet either one on rare occasion.
Well, I started a new game recently that I'm FINALLY getting into and decided to start the game out way differently by not doing any of the Seyda Neen quests and I didn't even bother clearing out the n00b cave. So, at level 12, decked out in my extremely expensive Netch Adamantium Armour, I went back to Seyda Neen to knock out the n00b quests, just for fun.
So, I go through the cave and decimate everyone with barely a scratch. I'm wandering around searching for all the items in the cave when I suddenly hear a terrifying roar. I turn around and find a werewolf leaping from a ledge above me and it's already halfway through the air, claws extended towards my face. I screamed (me, not my character). It startled me so badly that instead of attacking him I react, through the game, naturally and I turn around and flee. I miss the pathway, fall in the water, and just after a loud splash I start taking a lot of damage. Somehow through the panic I manage to run up the narrow winding rockway that leads to the ledge and, to my great pleasure, find the werewolf can't get out. So, I just stood there safe and used a ring I use in rare instances for backup that does ~50 points of damage health to kill it out without taking further damage, though just the few seconds it'd taken to get out of the water had knocked my health down, despite my armour.
That and all tombs. They sounds that emanate from them is just.. creepy.

Creepiest moment in Morrowind for me was just after installing Tribunal. It was stormy, I was on low HP and Magicka, so I decided to rest. Thunder, and then "YOU WILL DIE!"Cactus wrote:Yknow, I've been discovering that Morrowind is creepy as hell at times.
