Re: The Photographer's Guild
Hey, I want to post a picture of my favourite spot in the game, what's the console command to take a screenshot in the game? PC version, of course. I checked the UESP console command list and didn't see it, so please, PLEASE, don't redirect me to that page.

Re: The Photographer's Guild
There isn't one, you have to edit your Oblivion.ini in My Games/Oblivion/ to allow you to, then while in-game, press 'PrntScrn'. It should be somewhere on your keyboard.Lord Hirotake wrote:Hey, I want to post a picture of my favourite spot in the game, what's the console command to take a screenshot in the game? Re: The Photographer's Guild
Hey Reaper, could you edit your first post to include instructions on how to take screenshots? You could just copy this to the bottom of it:
Find your oblivion ini in documents/my games/oblivion, edit the value bAllowScreenshot to 1, and then press the print screen button (left of scroll lock, right of f12) while ingame. The screenshot files will wind up in your oblivion directory (usually program files/bethesda softworks/oblivion) as "Screenshot#". Because you cannot link to images from your own computer, you will also need to host your screenshots on an image hosting site like Photobucket, Imageshack, or Tinypic (all free).
I ask because new posters probably don't want to bother searching through all 9+ pages of this thread to find their answer, but will probably at least look at the first post. Thanks, if you could do that
Anyway, I just took this while ingame, I'm not sure if it's in vanilla or not, as I had never seen it before. Very cool, though. It's Astia Inventius painting the Anvil lighthouse.

Re: The Photographer's Guild
Thanks Bode, I found it just before you posted it. Much more helpful than whoever just said you have to edit the .ini, assuming people know which part to edit.
Anyway, the screenshot was huge and it didn't seem to be uploading properly, so I gave up; it was a picture of the waterfalls near Shadow's Rest, I love them!

Re: The Photographer's Guild
I can't find any of the screenshots I've taken anywhere on my computer, my brother said that the screenshots might not be saveing or some thing like that. Any ideas on what might be happening?
Chaos:(Standing on a box) IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!
Crystal: Whats with all the yelling?
Quincey: It's 2012, Kirby obssesed, and a TES MMO is real.
Chaos: WE WILL ALL SEE SLENDY TO NIGHT!
Crystal: Oh... What's a Kirby?
Quicey: Dont know.

Re: The Photographer's Guild
Hirotake: The screenshots will probably be the same size as the resolution you play with ingame, you can resize them in ms paint pretty easily. As for not uploading correctly, you will need to host your screenshots on an image hosting site like Photobucket, Imageshack, or Tinypic (all free), trying to share them directly through your computer doesn't work. You really don't need to resize pics, anyway, because we link to them here they'll never stretch the page.
Chaos: The screenshots should be located in your oblivion directory, usually under program files/bethesda softworks/oblivion. If they are not saving, then it may be that screenshots are not enabled (follow the steps I listed in my post above Hirotake's). If you have enabled them, but they still do not show up, it could be that you need to disable anti-aliasing. Tell me, when you try to take a screenshot ingame, does it say "File: Screenshot# created"? (something like that)

Re: The Photographer's Guild
I edited my first post, Bode. I hope that people do check the first page, like you said. Thanks for the idea and the cool pics.
Re: The Photographer's Guild
Thanks, Reaper.
I was in Anvil on a clear day, so naturally some immaculate screenshots surrounded me, here's a few.
Anvil Overhead
Anvil Water
Anvil Docks
Next two are or include a house mod I use, Ciport Manor. Very simple, great location
Ciport
Anvil w/ Ciport
This one I took 'cause it was funny. Used a frost trap spell added by Midas Magic on a mountain lion, caught it while it was lunging at me.
Mountain Lolon
And the final one I took of Varulae, the girl from The Ghost Ship of Anvil quest, pre-mod pictured here. She's gotten a heck of a makeover from the mods I'm using (probably mostly COBL), wow.

So do I, actually. Is much more organised that way, and you don't have to scroll through half a kilometer of posts to get to the bottom.yeepo wrote:But I think you should keep posting links.
Great pics though, as always

Yeah, I thought that too. I'll edit it to include links. Shrinking them down made them look a little different, anyway.

Good work to all, they all look great. My favorite of the ones that I viewed today is the frozen mountain lion. That is quite funny.

I would maybe post some of my own... but they would look silly in contrast to the high-res photos everyone is slapping up here...

Don't worry about that, I ask for any and all photos. No matter how silly or low contrast, all photos are welcome.

Just installed a few graphics enhancing mods. I must say I'm quite pleased with the result.

This makes me feel more inclined to post some, even though I'm on the 360 and have to take photos with a camera.Reaper67 wrote:Don't worry about that, I ask for any and all photos. No matter how silly or low contrast, all photos are welcome.

Re: The Photographer's Guild
Is that an improved water reflection mod? I've got all settings on max and the ships in Anvil don't have reflections.
Here's a pic of a glitch I found yesterday - I was strolling around in New Sheoth when I stumbled across a faceless Golden Saint. She returned to normal when I reloaded the savegame. I'm not sure what caused it, but it was probably the retexture mod I downloaded a while ago.

Yeah, it is. It's called Enhanced Water v2.0, and is part of Natural Environments.Xaeryx wrote:Is that an improved water reflection mod? I've got all settings on max and the ships in Anvil don't have reflections.
