enchanting a staff

hi all kinda new here ..

any ways got a little question to ask , i got a staff that does frost damage can i enchant it some how so it will do other types of elemntal dmg such as shock of fire ?

You cant further enchant an item that already is.

And I'm pretty sure you can't find any "plain" staves. Someone feel free to correct me.

If you do the mage quests though, you get your own personal leveled mage staff that does one of a good number of tricks. Mine does fire damage, and at 25, it's doing 80 damage per cast. I like to use it between fire breakers.

yea i got a mages staff too and it's enchanted paralyze. i'm pretty sure you can't enchant weapons with paralyze. this one is from joining the mages guild.
