Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Whilst sitting upon a chair conviniently placed directly in front of this computer desk I couldn't help but notice a quite foul stench lingering in the air. My first instinct was to grab a nearby can of Lysol brand Disinfectant spray and blindfire upon the area around the computer desk. Once I had sat back down a few seconds later the foul smell had returned to which I angrily stood up and shouted, "Where da HELL is that smell coming from?!" When I noticed the old salad laying upon the table behind my chair I figured that it must be the source of the smell. Once I threw it away I felt quite proud of my observation skills.

Good observation skills for me, is quickly finding a missing apostrophe or semicolon in a script that refuses to work.Valus wrote:Whilst sitting upon a chair conviniently placed directly in front of this computer desk I couldn't help but notice a quite foul stench lingering in the air. We've got a load of friends staying for the weekend, so last night we were at a party until 4am, today we finally got around to leaving the house at 3pm then went to the beach for a bit then went for a Chinese buffet, now I'm having a bath then we're going to the pub. Ah, Bank Holidays...

One person told me they thought they loved me and one said they fell over laughing on a forum.
This has helped my mood immensely.

Watched Radiohead's set from Reading and have decided that they are definitely the best band of our generation. If anyone differs please say so and I'll explain to you why you're wrong (apart from The King because he'll just post something stupid)

I've always like Coldplay and Sigur Ros more than Radiohead, but I'm not one to talk. I've only heard like two of their songs.

Well, Sigur Ros are probably my second favourite band so I'll let you off!randomfrog wrote:r wrote:Watched Radiohead's set from Reading and have decided that they are definitely the best band of our generation. Big Bad Voodo Daddy / Daft Punk / System of a Down (+Serjy) / The Smashing Pumpkins are better than RadioHead in my opinion. Let the onslaught begin.

BTW, R, you would LOVE my guitar teacher. One of his all time favorite bands is Sigur Ros.

Since I complained about not being able to print the name of the county I live in, Sussex, without it being censored.randomfrog wrote:Since when is that not censored?shadow_of_sithis wrote:well i got attacked by zombies and i had sex with a vampire, then i sacrificed myself so that all the zombies would die...............then i woke up
I think I remember you asking me what post-rock was because your teacher kept mentioning it, the man clearly has good taste! I'm not sure if you could teach someone how to play guitar like Sigur Ros though - "Pile on the distortion and reverb and play with a violin bow"?

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Yeah, it would be kind of hard to teach someone a Sigur Ros song just because they are so, well, non-guitar heavy.

Was woken up by my cat demanding food half an hour before I want to get up (when I refused to feed him at that ungodly hour, he decided to sleep on my face until I changed my mind), put sugar in the coffee container (which still had coffee in it, so now my coffee is extra strong) and now I'm watching our basset wrestle with a bucket.

I went to High School orientation. Yay.
Anywho, I also kicked up some shorts and it landed EXACTLY on my cat. And I feel bad...

Washed an airplane, then worked out for a bit. Shaved, showered and back to my box happy that I have tomorrow off.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
One of my mates was telling me last night about a live-action roleplaying festival (basically Oblivion but real!) he went to over the Bank Holiday weekend and it sounds like the most fun ever - he basically dressed up as an elven warrior, got extremely drunk on mead, spoke in a funny voice all weekend and fought loads of monsters and rival factions. Then on the last day word was spread around that an army of undead monsters was marching on the site, and all the factions had to set aside their differences and team up, resulting in 3000 guys fighting another 3000 guys all dressed as wraiths and zombies.
Suffice to say, I'll be going next year. I'm going to be a healer (I reckon saving someone's life is a sure-fire way to get a pint bought for you) who's also adept in war magic and unarmed combat. Better start growing my beard now, then...

r: that seems like a lot of fun!
I've spent my day in school. Turned out that our schedule was incorrect and which meant my last lesson was 40 minutes longer than I thought.
And I suspect even more strongly now that I have a bad influence on technology (especially computers with Vista).

I'd love to go LARPing but the nearest location that I'm aware of is rather far away. No LARPing for me. What's bad is one of my favourite authors does it. In theory I could go out and LARP with him.
