I need some help ... did I play Arena, Daggerfall, or both 10 years ago? I have no idea, but this question has been driving me nuts for years. I know I played Daggerfall because I remember the main quest ending when I visited the Underking (or was it the King of Worms). However, I don't think High Rock or Hammerfell have deserts, which is where I owned a house, so that makes me think I played Arena.
Thanks for any help you can give; like I said, this question has been bothering me for years.

Thanks folks, I REALLY appreciate it, since, like I said, this question had been bugging me for years.
I finally was able to load and play Daggerfall on my machine (after figuring out and then using DosBox). I went back to Hammerfell; not in Sentinel I think, but a large city nonetheless, one with most of my guilds, and bought a desert house. It was a nice feeling to be back in that game. However, I missed one of the messages sent to me by a Main Quest character and therefore was unable to complete the game. I gave up in disgust, but it's been long enough that I think I can start a new character in it without feeling gypped by what is, in my opinion, a shortsighted gaming design in Daggerfall. That's an issue best left for another forum, but I needed to get it off my chest.
Thanks again! Take care,

Well, this could've been done in a different thread, but seeing as you're new I'll just turn a blind eye.
As for the problem, once you recieve the letter, it isn't difficult to find the town the Dead Fairy is in and travel there. (It should be the Dead Fairy, it was for me, but with a random game like Daggerfall what can you do?) You should receive about 10 minutes into the game, and you have a good time to go there if you set it as top priority.

Oh. sorry, I was referring to what I believe was Helseth's letter or text pop-up invitation or perhaps some other form of communication that I can't remember. I remember seeing an alphabetical letter representing a name at the end of it, but didn't know which name the letter was representing, and the notification mini-window disappeared before I could finish reading it, perhaps due to an errant keystroke on my part. But I didn't like the way the time restraint and one-chance-to-read-it window contributed, with help on my part, to the inability to complete the main quest. That's just what I meant. Sorry, didn't mean to start any controversy.
