Wood? Boron?
What's your Classical "Western" choice, then?

I think he was referring to ES' fifth element flesh.Dogmantra wrote:...alowe wrote:i'd control the 5th element

Well my knowledge of the periodic table of elements is extremely limited.Dogmantra wrote:I have had so many (if three is so many) people not realising that I was joking... Boron is the chemical element with atomic number 5. Wood is (I think) the last listed classical "Eastern" element.
This is why I really should have used a smily...
i knew boron was the fifth element and guessed wood might be an element somewhere, but i still thought you were being seriousDogmantra wrote:I had to look it up, too

Western: Of these four, I would say air. Being able to fly would be a wonderful thing...
Eastern: I would make Earth for this one. I would love to be able to create buildings and many other things out of the Earth herself.
The periodic "elements": In all honestly, this is just silly. Finding any of these "elements" in their pure state is just insane to think about. When was the last time you came across "natural neon"? HOWEVER, if I had to control one it would be mercury. It's one of the few that isn't too mixable, and having an immunity to it would be lovely. Also, forming keys and such out of some that you could carry around would be a handy feature.

I was gonna post helium lolEquinGirl wrote:I can't believe no one said helium. Making everyones voices high-pitched

Oh, I know that silly! Noble gases can't combine with anything anyway. I'm just curious as to where exactly you find neon. Mercury would be hard to come across as well, except in old instruments like barometers and thermometers and thermostats like the ones in my ancient house. Mercury would be a lot easier to keep track of than neon, too.The Most Unholy wrote:Wolfzen wrote:Hmmm... an interesting idea.

Bad pick, the Noble gases are almost always found in their pure state in nature....just saying >.>

Metal is cold, hard, and unfeeling. I view that as a trait of monsters. Wood is life, and life as a whole is hard to extinguish. I'm not referring to individual life to be specific, no, I'm referring to all life, which can be hard to completley destroy. Cause all it takes for life to regrow....Is one seed.

Fire, metal and hydrogen? Are you perhapse thinking about making an overly elaborate deathtrap? Or are you just suicidal.m@nyt1mes wrote:as kestral said, fire+metal=molten metal, which would be exponentially cooler
