Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Managed to bring the dog for 3 walks today, got caught in the rain on the 3rd one, and my Mam got the keys to our new house today, moving this weekend. Took wayyy longer than I thought it would, turns out there's actually some paperwork when buying a house, who would've guessed? About 5 forms had to be re-done over the title in the deed being botched.
And yesterday I found out I get my Leaving Cert results mid-August.

I just got back from the Coldplay concert. Magnificent. Truly magnificent. Chris Martins is a god among men. The opening bands were trash, to be frank. Coldplay also had 6 encores, which was kinda annoying. Chris Martins was also hilarious, and dropped f-bombs everywhere in the later hours, which didn't seem like him.

I woke up with a cold. One of those horrible ones that make you unable to really stand up for long. So as soon as I'm done here, I'm going to lie down until I have to go to work this afternoon.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I've been crying for the last ten minutes. I just watched the last episode of Air.
If you want a good cry, watch the whole series. Up to episode 5, it's happy, then episode 6 is very, very sad. The ending though... it makes so little sense, yet explains so much... Has anyone else seen it?

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
The story is extremely confusing. Once you get to the "Summer" arc, it explains more, but then leaves what's happening in the Summer arc unexplained (that's why there are two specials with extra backstory). The last episode is odd too, but it really does wrap everything up. You get a great sense of closure.Dark Lord wrote:i find some of the story rather confusing <.<
Also: I submit that Yukito's hair is awesome.

I fell asleep whilst watching/listening to the commentary to Back to the Future. *sigh*
Guess I'll have to try again tomorrow. Otherwise nothing but lots of Morrowind.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
The bit where he teaches Chuck Berry how to invent rock 'n' roll is one of the best bits in any film ever.
Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Oh yeh.. the films are brilliant. I've been watching them and commentaries and special features for three days now. The second has to be my favourite just because the idea of Marty spending half the movie in the first movie dodging himself is just classically made of pure awesome. I may reclassify them as my favourite movies.
One of my favourite little subtle bits was in the third movie when he picks up the pie plate that says frisbee and holds it up to his great-great-grandparents.
"Hey look! Frisbee! Far out!"
*marty walks away*
hushed, semi-concerned Irish-accented voices
"What was the meaning of that?"
"I know.. it was right there in front of him."

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
God i hate moving, i hate it because i always get roped into helping people move. Last time i helped my friends move it was ridiculous. It was the middle of summer, (ask kestral about the florida heat/humidity) and i had to help a bunch of girls move there was only one other guy. So guess who got to move 5 couches(who needs 5 effing couches!!!) and all the heavy furniture? Two of the couches had to be moved down stairs which really sucked, one of them was the kind of couch that has a bed in it so it was really heavy too.
I remember that day, me and my friend standing in the driveway with our shirts off sweating profusely because we just moved him and our friend out of their apt and him into that house when our friend pulls up in a huge U-haul truck. We thought damnit more work, but at least theres another guy here to do some of the heavy lifting. Wrong! A car pulls up behind him and he says he has to work so we have to move his gfs stuff in by ourselves, awesome!

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
We've got a 3-hour drive to get to my new house. On what I think is the first Sunday of the school holidays. Past Gatwick airport and Dartford crossing where there's always a queue because the idiotic Highways Agency think it's better to toll people to pay for a bridge that's already been paid for several times over instead of keeping the busiest motorway in the country moving. And I can't imagine moving in's going to go particularly smoothly either. Suffice to say I can't wait to go to the pub on Sunday night.

I ried to play Halo Custom Edition on my computer today, I just got that update so I don't have to put in the CD anymore. I can play it but my graphics are probably the lowest they can go, I can barely play this game because my graphics card is so bad. I've still been playing it alot even though there's less than 1000 other people that still play it.

I'd try... if I had it.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I went to the gun range today. I never really understood how LOUD guns are. I walked in without ear protection, and nearly went deaf. Once I had the proper ear and eye protection, I went in. It was all good until some lovely guy decided to come in with a massive looking rifle. I still have no idea what exactly it was, but when he shot it, the whole building shook. I didn't realize that guns could cause small earthquakes. Then while I was firing, a bullet(old bullet, at least 10 years old, says my dad) decided it didn't want to go, so it got lodged in the barrel. Which cause amazing amounts of problems. But it was still good fun.

22 caliber pistol and a 22 caliber rifle. My dad shot the 9 millimeter, but then a bullet got stuck in the barrel, so I didn't get to shoot it.leroybrown wrote:What did you shoot? First time i shot i was with my dad as well and the gun was a little beretta.
