Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
I'm off to Latitude festival tomorrow, I've just finished packing so I can go to the pub tonight. I've got loads of cheap food, a Tesco Value tent, an empty water bottle filled with JD because they don't let you take glass into the campsite, a Swiss Army knife, a camping stove, clothes, things to make a fire with, a hammer and some gaffer tape. What more do you need?
So I'll be back on Monday at some point. Might be on tomorrow morning too. Laters, potaters.
Edit - Having done a brief bit of inventory-ing I've realised that all our stuff is a) probably not going to fit in my car in such a way that it will offer a view out of the back and b) not going to be portable to the campsite from the car park in one go, and we're camping right at the far end from the car park so we can smuggle my sister's boyfriend out of the stewards' campsite into the public one... hmm...

Good combination, the tape is a must if you've got a Tesco Value tent.. I had one a couple of years ago (More like 1 year...), lasted about a week.r wrote:I'm off to Latitude festival tomorrow, I've just finished packing so I can go to the pub tonight. Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
As some might have noticed I have not been around much lately. This is due to the afk world and Heroes V, mostly the afk world though. I'm still here though, occasionally.

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Hey guys,
Im gunna take quite an elbaorate amount of time away from UESP, not because i think the forums have changed, just it think its time I moved on, I've quite enjoyed my expereince here, Especially the friendliness of most ( if not all ) of the members, and the quick and rapid responses to ES questions. I've met some great people whilst on the forum, most of which ill probably talk to on msn every now and again. I would like to Tip my hat to all the moderators, Paticularly the admins.
UESP has been, by far, the best most comfortable ES fora I've ever visited, its got that right amount of people, but aslo the RIGHT people, so you dont just get aload of rubbish everytime you post.
I might Come on again upon the announcements of TES V. Hope I havn't been a nuisance during my stay.
Thanks for everything, ES related and none ES related.
See you guys Around, Peace out.
(btw im aware that 'Elaborate' doesnt really mean Large or along time, but i couldnt think of a better word

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
I'm back! All sorts of stuff will be posted in the Reviews thread about Latitude. What have I missed?
This turned out to be a truism in a way because the tent wasn't really waterproof - not what you want at a festival where it rained for about 50% of the weekend. I gave the tent to Oxfam before I left - I'll buy a proper one next time I go camping. Also I used gaffer tape to repair my collapsible camping chair, whose front left section went west on Friday night. The repair did mean that the chair wouldn't collapse anymore and I couldn't be bothered carrying a chair along with all my other stuff all the way back to the car so Oxfam got that too. I traded the mallet for a bucket too, partly because I wanted something to fill with cold water to cool my beer down in and partly because the girl offering me the bucket was very good looking. The Dog Whisperer wrote:Good combination, the tape is a must if you've got a Tesco Value tent.. And gaffer tape can be used for anything, I've about 4 things in my room being held together with it. Maybe I should buy some new stuff.
Anyway, probably won't be on at all until next week, unless I get lucky somewhere on Thursday or Friday and get a couple of hours to spare.

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
I just did a big 'about me' post in the "Tell us about yourself" thread, but I might as well post here too.
Hi I'm new here! I've already racked up a dozen posts or so, so I figure an introduction is in order.

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Hello and Welcome to the UESP!
I'm making this post not only to say hello to the new members and old members that have returned (if there are any), but also to communicate to anyone who wishes to know, and some people that I'm telling right now, otherwise they'll get worried about my existence and whether I can be categorized under "existing". I'm going to Colorado, once again! If you look in this very thread a ways back, you'll notice I made a similar post around a year ago. Upon the finding of this post, you'll be rewarded with the item that is in the following spoiler tags. For all those who do not find the previous post, do not look in the spoiler tags, or I will have you burned to dust.
I will be back sometime around Monday, for those of you who care.
