Everyone should be able to get more than enough chamois for their needs, there is more spoilery info on the KoL wiki if you need it.

Whoo! Managed to defeat Mother Slime! Had to spend like 50k in order to super-buff myself to do it, but it was well worth it.

Man, didn't think I'd beat that thing when I fought it the first time only to be instantly KOed by some 1150+ damage attack and watching it completely resist my attacks after dealing about 500 damage the second time.

Somehow managed to buff HP to 2500+, buffed Muscle and Moxie to about 600+, grabbed the elemental damage semi-rares, and got majorly lucky. She was still dealing like 600+ damage per hit, and I ended up getting really lucky with the Kneebutt stunning and her fumbling most of the time.

Turtle Tamers ruled more than I thought they would.

Anyways, I sent whatever loot I got from defeating her to Weka. Since I'm still ascending (and I'm assuming he's not anymore), they're useless to me at the moment.

Disco Bandits suck. I hate their abilities.

"Disco Dance of Doom" misses.
"Disco Dance of Doom" misses.
"Disco Dance of Doom" hits for 1 hp.
"Attack with [insert weapon]" hits for X damage.

>_>

I'm going back to Sauceror i think. Maybe gonna try out Accordion, Pasta or Turtle Tamer.

Disco Bandits < Rubbish

IMO.

My current dude was a disco bandit.
Disco bandits are okay, but they are pretty repetitive. It's basically "pickpocket -> disco eye poke -> disco dance of doom II: electric boogaloo -> attack with weapon"
BANG → !

Hoooo boy, I don't even know where to begin.

First of all, weka is female, and she does ascend, a lot. Have you bothered to check her ascension history? http://www.koldb.com/player.php?name=weka

As you can see, she's one of the top ascenders in both hardcore and softcore. While it's true she has spent some time in aftercore recently (doing things like hamster runs and the slime tube), she is still very much an active ascender.

As for adventuring in the slime tube, sure, it's possible to jump in with a weak character, but doing it *well* takes a character at least as strong as one who would survive in hobopolis. In order to finish a run reasonably quickly, you've got to massively boost your monster level, which will convert the basic slime to hands (with midlevel +ML) and mouths (with high +ML). More powerful slime is much harder to deal with, but also has much better drops. In fact, you cannot get alveoli to drop at all unless you finish the run rather quickly, and you get a higher quality of cyst the higher the ML is.

Disco bandits are probably the best class for softcore speed ascension, but they are not known for their power in high level content. Like all classes, they have their strengths and weaknesses.

Ah, [censored]. Sorry about that, Weka.

Erm... Hm. Gotta figure out how to get some +ML stuff. Looks like I'm staying out of the runs until I can go at least 200+. Maybe the El Vibrato gear...

Contributed some more meat for the clan, etc. Enough for two more runs, but I'm staying out for the time being until I'm done ascending (which is probably going to be close to another three months at the rate I'm going :) ).

I managed to get to Hodgman and super-buffed myself to fight him, but decided to ask if someone else here planned to fight him instead.

Is it okay for me to go fight him now, or does anyone else here (particularly those who can run higher item drops) have any other plans for him?

The current Hobo run has been completed. Please post here with what you would like from the loot if you are still active in game and took part in the run.

People in the run were:
The Dog Whisperer
Falanu
Beastman4640 (me)
Alilatias
Hanatarou
MostUnholy

Dropped items:
Oscus's flypaper pants
Oscus's neverending soda
Ol' Scratch's stovepipe hat
Oscus's garbage can lid
Wand of Oscus
Hodgman's varcolac paw
Frosty's old silk hat
Hodgman's lobsterskin pants
Chester's bag of candy
Zombo's shield

Items will be handed out in order of the number of turns you spent in hobopolis (the order of the list above), when we get to the bottom of the list we will start handing out at the top again.

In order of most wanted to least wanted here is my wishlist:
Hodgman's lobsterskin pants
Frosty's old silk hat
Hodgman's varcolac paw
Zombo's shield
Wand of Oscus
Oscus's garbage can lid
Oscus's flypaper pants
Oscus's neverending soda
Ol' Scratch's stovepipe hat
Chester's bag of candy
Removed due to size.

Erm... There's not much I'm going to use soon and thus don't really want most of what we obtained, so I suppose I'll just list what I can use soon.

In order of most wanted to least wanted:
Wand of Oscus
Oscus's neverending soda

On another note, 8.8 million meat somehow showed up in Tourviel's ancestral storage.

She's in Hardcore, and it's been that way for the past two months. I checked storage last week out of curiosity, and found out that I somehow had that much in storage, even though I am very sure I only had 800k+ when ascending into Hardcore. I'm pretty sure I didn't have anything in the mall that could cost anything near that much, so I submitted a bug report, as chances are I ran into some kind of meat bug.

Multi Czar just got back to me a few hours ago, and says that the meat amount in storage has been constant, which means I either forgot something major or they don't keep track of the amount of meat in storage and don't want to admit it. Either way, it looks like I'm free to use the meat after I get out of Hardcore.

If you guys need me to donate some meat to reopen Hobopolis or Slime Tube, drop me a message (assuming Tourviel's already out of Hardcore/Ronin).

EDIT: I think I know what happened now... I got a Golden Plastic Oyster Egg a long while ago, and tossed it in the mall. When I did that, the average mall price was somewhere around 250k, and the price has been dropping since. The item text suggested to me that it would only drop during that Oyster holiday, so I quickly changed the price to something ridiculous like 8 million meat so that no one would buy it for a long while.

...Turns out someone somehow found my store and bought it anyways.

The only problem I have with KoL is that I can't do much adventures each day and after that I have to wait until rollover to play again. I probably have lots of adventures left because of my not-playing it.

Just accepted you to the clan.

I'll get around to sorting out the hobo drops within the next week, things have been really busy for me lately.

I haven't played for about a month. Things got busy, and I sort of lost interest in playing KoL.

If anyone needs me to log in so that I can distribute those two equips dropped by Hodgman to whoever wants them (the pants are most likely going to Daedra Prince from the looks of it), PM me as soon as possible.
