I started the game a few weeks ago and I've been working on the Fighter's Guild quests as a way to level and make some money early on in the game. All three Guild guys just tell me they have nothing for someone of my rank (Warder) and that I should go see someone else! None of them will advance me, and from what I understand, I should be a Guardian by now.
I have completed the following quests:
All of Burz gro-Khash
The Desolate Mine, Amelion's Debt, The Fugitives, The Noble's Daughter, Mystery at Harlun's Watch
All but The Stone of St. Alessia from Azzan
A Rat Problem, The Unfortunate Shopkeeper, Den of Thieves, The Wandering Scholar
All up to Information Gathering from Modryn Oreyn
Unfinished Business, Drunk and Disorderly, The Master's Son, More Unfinished Business, Azani Blackheart, Trolls of Forsaken Mine
The only thing I can figure to do is to get kicked out and then do a quest to get back in, please help!

It looks like the next quest I have to do IS The Stone of St. Alessia, which I get from Azzan, but he just tells me he has no contracts for someone of my rank and then he says that I am not ready for advancement. Is it possible that I missed a step? I've been going through the mission log or whatever it's called, and the very last one is from Burz gro-Khash telling me to talk to Azzan.

Do you have a save you can load from before you did the mission from Burz?
I used to play Oblivion, then I took an arrow in the knee.

I might have a save actually.... I've got like 5 or 6, I'll try it and let you all know. Thanks for the responses, I made a new character to play until I figured this out since I got so fed up with this Elder Scrolls glitchy nonsense.
