Saviour's Hide? The spelling in Oblivion is different from earlier games, Savior's Hide.

I already did a quiz on that, which is when you learnt of that yourself!
so no, and it's not exactly a 'thing', I just didn't want to say 'person/creature/place/item/target ect'

Now it sounds like Deadric quests. Is it Clavicus Vile, or something about Umbra?

It has something to do with the dark side, but not Deadric.

Erandur-Vangaril in Lost Boy Cavern. Notice the lack of question mark. 8)
/confidence

I am seen as but one, within I am but two
"a lich combining the souls of two former members of the Mages Guild: The Necromancer Erandur and the Spellsword Vangaril"
In the shadows of life I/we can found.
I presume you refer to his being a lich, a mere shadow of his (their) former self (selves)
The hunter suceeded at his task.
I'm not entirely sure about this line. Finding his friend in the cave?
My mind was strong enough to complete my task
According to a paper found within the cave, it says Vangaril properlly performed the rites...
but weak enough to fail my true task
...but failed and was unable to free his friend, instead accidently merging their souls into one.

The mage found and defeated the lich.
Cactus wrote:My mind was strong enough to complete my task

I was reffering to how the mage (power of the mind) suceeded at defeating his enemy, but was not strong enough to prevent himself being possessed by the lich.

So all in all, my quiz fell short and you won it... this time

I don't know why, but all I can picture with this is a vampire of some sort.

As for the third line, does that mean that this 'thing' is alive, but if it died nothing else can survive?
