There was already a good chance of that. Thats how I found this site. Of course it links to the wiki, but the forums are just one click away from that.josjie wrote:Yes they are. They have been here before but they were not shown as online "users" on PHPBB2.
If someone searches for "Oblivion problem" there's a good chance that Google will show results from this site.

Re: PhpBB3 Announcement
There are a few other options as well, like being able to choose more than one. That might be useful if you had a poll for "Which of these have you done?" I think that "what do you collect?" thread would be good for being able to make more than one choice, for example.5tealthh wrote:Anyways, the new polls are pretty neat. They allow you to change your choice in case you screw up. And something really cool about the new polls is that you can edit your polls after you post them. It wouldn't allow me to do that before when I posted the race thread.

Well thats really nice. What else does this new forum have besides reduced post counts and better polls?Cactus wrote:There are a few other options as well, like being able to choose more than one. Re: PhpBB3 Announcement
If you'll go to the original post in the Announcements thread by Nephele there's a link to a grand list of everything. Some other new options include reporting threads you think are inappropriate, added profile options, expanded PM capabilities, friends/foes, subscribing to forums/threads, that color list on the right side, more Mod powers5tealthh wrote:Well thats really nice. But what if I don't want people to see how much of a jerk-face I am on the forums?josjie wrote:Google can also produce results to the forums.

er, don't be such a jerk-face5tealthh wrote:But what if I don't want people to see how much of a jerk-face I am on the forums?
admittedly that would take all the fun out of posting.
ah, but back on topic. is it possible to hide the bot accounts. they clutter the online list and make it harder to scan who's online.
It's a fine line, but someone has to walk it.

I tried adding them to my Foes list, and it wouldn't let me. I started to add the admin's account, but I ultimately decided not to.alowe wrote:er, don't be such a jerk-face5tealthh wrote:But what if I don't want people to see how much of a jerk-face I am on the forums?![]()

I did, however, do something I could never do in Oblivion, sadly. The link to the image is here. Now I can ignore the Adoring Fan! Too bad we can't just do this in Oblivion isn't it?

Re: PhpBB3 Announcement
Ha! You can't anyway. One of the first things I tested before the forums went up was the foe system. You can add them as friends, but not foes. This applies to Moderators as well, though we can add you as foes.5tealthh wrote:I started to add the admin's account, but I ultimately decided not to.

Re: PhpBB3 Announcement
About the posts not counting towards post count thing. That is causing them not to be listed at all on people's profiles, which leads to lies on the most active forum and topic, and makes it pretty hard to find someone's post on the General Forum.
Is it a bug or it's supposed to be like that? If it is, I can say I purpose a change.

Remember, this is an Elder Scrolls forum. The games are the first priority. The post count is supposed to show your knowlegde about them, and how much help you have offered.
To find someones posts in the general forum, you can use the search function, and choose to search in the general forums only.

Posts in General don't count towards your post count. But that's all that's changed. They still show up in your profile; you can still use any method you previously used to look up the posts.

I'm not overly fond of the new format... I guess i'm just an old fashioned kind of guy....
Edit: Just so you don't get me wrong it by no means involves the post count. Thats my favorite new feature

Don't post ever again, just so your post count can stay at 666.The Edgy Redguard wrote:I'm not overly fond of the new format... I guess i'm just an old fashioned kind of guy....
