If you want some personal experiences, There are plenty of us who have run into it. If you were unaware, this creature is also unoriginal as a different version first made an appearance in the Thirsk mission from Bloodmoon. The wiki probably says that though.

Here's a tip from us UESPer's though:

Bring Fire magic.

Doesn’t matter what it is, spell, poison, or enchantment, just bring something, and use it till the cow's come home (Or until the thing falls dead)

Trust me, unless your playing on super-duper-easy-difficulty, you'll need it.

Lol, yeah I ran into that thing by accident. Never heard of it before, and all of a sudden I was like, "Hey look, some dead guy! Hmm... weird loot. *Bang of back of skull* HEY WTF?!" *Slashes frantically at invisible fists*.

I have to say that I have ran into this "feared monster" and I was not impressed.

The battle was over after about 30 seconds.
Hell, it took me longer to find the thing than to kill it.

At the end, I just sat on my couch with the controller in hand, and said "thats it?! Thats what all the hype was about?!"

Ive had Bandits give me a tougher fight than that thing!

Difficulty was at Max, my friend.

Like I said, Bandits have given me more trouble.

What was the build of your character. In my experience, the character makes all the difference. Seeings how it's just an overgrown troll, fire is definitely the best bet.

I can't remember the exact stats but I do remember he was around Level 20 or 21. He was a BattleMage that DID have a very powerful Ebony Sword with a Fire damage enchantment, so that was probably why it was so easy to kill it.

I just hit it with shadowrend until it stopped moving.
I would be a procrastinator, but I keep putting it off.

This "secret" monster isn't that impressive. It's fairly low level. Low hitpoints. It's hard to find.

Hey, Kaelan Corvinus? Try fighting it without the fire sword, at level 6, when it's frost look script glitch's so that it is totally invisible.

Not so easy now, is it!? IS IT!? IS IT!?!?!

Ahem....(That's what happened the first time I fought it/found it, I stood no chance :( )

A mad man would run directly to his prey.
While an assassin stalks them.

there is a glitch with the scripting. basically, she is a large troll with invisibility and the shock outlines, but not all of these work.
you will get either of the three you mentioned.
