Damage Health potions... Hard to make?

Post by s0shlychlngd »

So I'm a level 100 alchemist, and 60 luck if that matters. All of my equipment is expert level also. I've got a hoard of grapes, onions, pears, strawberries, and peony seeds that I'm trying to make damage health potions out of. Unfortunately, they all have "restore fatigue" in common, so I guess the game bumps that affect above damage health, and turns it into a potion instead of a poison.

Is there any way to play around with my equipment (heehee... 8) dirty) so that I can get it to be a poison instead? i.e., downgrading a calcinator or something, taking out an alembic... I tried reading the "calculating potion strengths" section but it's just too complicated for me, and I don't think there's anything in there about "rigging" your creations to turn them into a poison instead of a potion - the game just assumes you want a potion instead I guess. When you consider the peony seeds it's almost like I'm being punished for reaching the expert alchemy - opening up the 4th affect of restore fatigue.

Any suggestions?

well I found my stash of sacred lotus seeds which DOESN'T have the restore fatigue affect, so I can use those with the other ingredients. But it's still kind of a bummer.. besides having ingredients like that, are there any other ways around it?

Nope, that's just how it works unfortunately. You'd think you could get the properties you want, especially at the master level. So, yeah.. you'll just have to find ingredients with that one thing in common. There's an entire list of ingredients on this page to help you.

Try using the Alchemy Calculator on the wiki, to see what easy combos will work for you.

Flax seeds are a v. common, light weight, and pretty easy to get though, and will mix well with your Strawbs and Peonys. Travelling to Skingrad and on to Anvil, you tend to find alot of flax.

Basically you prob want Flax and Nightshade, and then mix them with the Strawbs and Peony that you already have. You can also use Venison instead of Flax or Nightshade, but just make sure that you use Flax or Nightshade for the first potion, and then w/o going out of the Alch mixing page, switch to Venison, and your resultant potions should still keep their low weight. Otherwise the Venison potions will weigh you down pretty quick.

But I just love Alch anyhow, there are some fantastic pots/poisons that you can make, and sounds like you've already got pretty good stores of ingredients. Good luck!
