Best view in the game

Post by Silkysmooth »

I like some spots right outside of Leyawiin and on top of Mount Sheogorath but my favorite is up on the hill behind Anvil in the sunset.

Mind blowing.Really.

I also love the night sky in the Shivering Isles.

Anyhow, any other good viewpoint in the game, I know I don't know them all. Post them here and I'll check em out. Screen shots are welcome =]

Well the location Dive Rock was put in there because it has the best view of Cyrodiil, it isn't the highest place but you can see more and better. For an action, fighting style game it does have a beautiful landscape

If youre going north along the road towards Bruma and you get to the fence that runs along the road, turn and look back over the fence.

It's an awesome view of the Imperial City and the surrounding area.

That's the first spot that came up in my mind. It's somewhere between Chorrol and Bruma.

Another nice spot are the mountains near the Temple of the Ancestor Moths. You have a great view there over Bruma and the Imperial City.

Finally, the huge bridge near Fort Alessia. If you turn around, you'll either look at the Imperial City or the river and the "A Strange Door" and Bravil.

A fairly basic view is from standing on the highest rock ontop of the cliff north of Anvil, slightly west from the inn and before the turn down to the town. You can see all of Anvil, the castle which looks awsome as it's on it's own island almost, and at night time it just looks mean

You'll hit that spot every time you'd take Jauffre and Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple via the Orange Road.

SCENE: EXT. CYRODIIL, NIGHT. JAUFFRE, MARTIN, and CASSIE arrive at a bend of the road. The IMPERIAL CITY sits in the distance.

Jauffre: There it is. A magnificient sight, is it not?

Martin: I have never seen the Imperial City look so beautiful as it does now. This is a seat deserving only of the gods. If only I could see its streets once again. I've been there only once or twice before in my life.

Jauffre: Add one other instance to that tally, my good friend. Your first stay there was much earlier than you remember.

Cassie: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did I ever tell you about the time I spent a night in an inn there and I ended up fighting four hijackers on the high seas? Boy, was I drunk. C'mon, I want to take you the Applewatch Farm before we get to the temple. My old boss is hanging around there, and I forgot to collect the gold from my last job from him.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Haha :D

When you go to the mountains west of Chorrol, there are a couple of spots with a great view too :)

I love the city of Anvil and its surroundings. It's just a very beautiful area, especially during sunset.

The view from the mountains in the area of the shrine of Hermaeus Mora are quite nice. The views from Frostcrag Spire aren't too shabby either.
I'll try to help if I can.

Frostcrag spire's topmost balcony has a splendid view.
I would be a procrastinator, but I keep putting it off.

Weather permitting, of course.

On foggy days or when theres a storm, you can't see crap but fog and clouds.

My fav view is usualy around county kvatch and imperial reserve but theres a good view from glade mist cave overlooking the imperial city and great forest.
A mad man would run directly to his prey.
While an assassin stalks them.
Whos smarter?

I don't know, I'm to busy killing Daedra to worry about sunsets. But that's just me.

I wouldn't say it's the best, but sitting atop that little chapel (forgot the name  ) overlooking Bravil and the surrounding lake is quite splendid.

That it does, not only can you see the Imperial City, but you can also see two other cities. I also gotta say the forest northeast of Chorrol is a nice spot. It's not an overview of an area, but it contains the only normal spot of autumn trees that I can remember, in the game. And it's usually been a nice surround view. I knew I loved the area when I was done raiding Outlaw Endre's cave and saw the autumn trees in the morning, the light shining through them. Good scenery at a good time.
