Oh, I've only seen two episodes and I was only half awake during them. In the first one I saw, the zoo or something was closing down, and in the second a guy dressed up as a panda and was.... assaulted [yeah, let's leave it at that].The Dog Whisperer wrote:Sublymonal wrote:4 - Having become a creature of the night, I've discovered some interesting shows, namely the Mighty Boosh.
Awesome! What episodes/series have you seen?
If I can get to the library today I'm gonna watch the episodes they have on the adult swim website

Ah I think I know the ones you mean, you saw the genius that is Rudi van de Sarnio (the guy with the door in his head) then? I love that whole scene.Sublymonal wrote:Oh, I've only seen two episodes and I was only half awake during them. Ughh. I'm so annoyed right now. My house is full of extremes in terms of temperature. Our air conditioning and heating is so weird. In our basement, It's way colder than the rest of the house and you get goose bumps going down there. Upstairs in the office though, it's the complete opposite. It's BOILING hot. I'm sweating like a pig right now. The weird part is, no other rooms upstairs are this hot, so I can't use the "heat rises" excuse.
On the good side, my brother and I like to go swimming in a pondish riverish thing by our house that is sort of our secret thing because no one else really knows about it. It's hidden, because it's like surrounded by tall plants like cattails and these brances, but it's so nice to go in. Yesterday, it rained like hell, so today, we went and the water level must have risen at least a foot. It was incredible. The water was so much deeper and we had so much fun.
I have mixed emotions. Maybe I should get myself checked for something.

So I'm thinking about moving to Germany.
Reason no. 1: This place, where I live now, is completely homophobic.
Reason No. 1.5: I desperately want to start dating, and I can't do it here.
Reason No. 2: Germany's college tuition is CHEAP. $800 a semester for the good uni.
Reason No. 3: I really want to live in Europe at some point in my life.
Reason No. 3.5: I love European culture.
Reason No. 4:I want to learn fluent German, and the only way I'm going to perfect the accent is with years of living in a German-speaking country.
Reason No. 5: I have a very close friend in Germany, maybe two, I don't know yet. I also have a good friend that would be a good candidate for boyfriend.
Parents are opposed, of course, but I really feel like I want to do this. If anyone here could give me wisdom or share experience. I want both cons and pros, okay? Thanks

Sounds fun! I would strongly recommend saving money though as a bailout plan. If nothing else, just enough money to make it back home in america. Also you said your parents are against it, you shouldnt pull the whole "screw you mom and dad im leaving" number. At least try to say something like you respect how they feel but you feel this is something you have to do. Something like that, just dont burn any bridges.Wolf wrote:bunch of stuff about moving
Munich is pretty sweet, there is a small section of that place designed for me. That is the hard rock cafe is walking distance from the hofbrauhaus.
EDIT: Oh also one thing thats very important. Keep a positive attitude. You may be looking at this as a quick fix to all of your problems and you may find that to not be the case. If so, keep your chin up your a smart dude youll figure everything out. Keep a positive attitude or i choke slam you repeatedly until your attitude changes.
I'm leaving; there's no longer a reason for me to stay on the forums. I stopped playing the TES games a while ago, and the only reason I've stayed up until now was the community. I used to be a Moderator, but wasn't good at that, so I quit. Now I'm not, obviously, and I can't do well acting like a normal member either, so I guess I'm quitting that too. That's why I've been acting like a douché and trying to get myself banned recently. Well, trying without doing something too drastic. Anyway, since I won't be logging in anymore, if anyone decides to PM me for whatever reason, please send me and email instead. I've had some good times of UESP, but recently, certain cliques have become more prominent, and the good times have become non-existent. I'm also leaving because some individuals seem to purposely choose a terrible decision, then act hostilely when shown the best choice. Regardless, I wish you all farewell.

Indeed >.> Lovely sentiment....
Yea, I understand where you're coming from, and I've evaluated this several times. I know it's gonna be hard, but it's soo worth it. I love European culture, and I've always felt that America was too conservative for me.
I'm desperately trying to get a job somewhere so that I can start saving, but I don't know when that's gonna pull through for me (stupid Target...
).
I know it's not gonna be easy, but I really do feel like this would be worthwhile. I can't imagine that experience in Europe would ever jilt me out of a job, and it could prove very useful at some point.

Well, if you feel that way, Vargon. Seeing as how I don't know you that well, anymore, I really can't give a sentimental response; however, if you feel it is best for you to leave without return, then I'll have to agree with you. I suppose I also agree that the fora have changed, though, in my opinion, for the better. I also tend to be a little easier on those who clean up after us: they can't please everyone all the time, so they constantly have to make judgment calls. I won't argue on that topic, though, what you see fit is your opinion and your right to express.
