Inventory Problem

Post by XELANAMYT »

I was doing a run through RockMilk yesterday and taking all damaged equipment off the enemies to repair it. Nothing unusual, done this 10+ times. However I did notice when I put the unwanted (but repaired) items back on the body and then looked on the body and some of the items were duplicated!

The thing is that they weren't really duplicated and picking one of the duplicates up froze the game. I could pick everything up (X button) and that was fine, but otherwise the above happens.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

I only noticed it yesterday and reloaded to several earlier saves to see if they had the problem, they did. Also I cleared the cache, no change there.

While it's not a serious problem, it is annoying and worrying! I don't want to loose all my work! If anyone has any information, please let me know.

Thanks,

man, thats so wierd, that has also happened to me before too, i was over encumbered (at rockmilk cave) and i put this enchanted weapon back on the guy, and then there were two of them, so i picked it up and then there was only one, tried to do it again and it never seemed to work for me again, very wierd, maybe it just happens at rockmilk cave , but im not sure, i always wondered if i was the only person this has happened to. Sorry i cant answer your quest, because i to am wondering the same thing

I thought it might just be rockmilk too, but i checked in other places, but that didn't make any difference.

Did it effect any other parts of you game?

Just curious, are you gyus running the latest patch? There are many examples of it not only fix bugs, but also creating some. Just read some of the posts here.
I used to play Oblivion, then I took an arrow in the knee.

I wonder what the programmers at bethsoft are doing at work? Personally I've never played a more buginfested game than Oblivion. And still I love it so much

well with such a complex game, and so many scripts it has to load, you'll have bugs. They won't be able to perfect it the first time, thats why we have patches and updates ^_^, and somehow those seem to fail to, but its the thought.
