sounds good but im trying to get my journeyman armorer so i can repair enchanted items.although when im done il try it.problem is i dont have very good magicka so i cant cast spells that are that good for enchantment and i ea the main quest so i cant get sigil stones from oblivion gates.CrossArmant wrote:An Ebony Armor set, enchanted by Grand Souls to have Shield on every last piece. It'll make the armor damn near impenetrable.

true but i dont have enough magicka to use any of the good ones.(kinda screwed cuz i dont have much more levelin to do) i have 190 magicka.when i first started i was focusing more on being a ninja and a heavy dutie soldier.i didint start adding to my magical atributes until recently. i might have to make a new profile but iv spent countless hours on this one i dont know what too do.

Re: Good heavy Armors
wait...your level 47 and you don't know whats good and whats bad? seems silly to me...but none the less without expansions, i use the holy armour from NotN, before that i used daedric armour i enchanted at the arcane. It may be very heavy but that can be fixed using feather enchantments. but what i did to get a marvolous AR. was did half with feather enchantments, and half with sheild enchantments, and i had a grand ring of the aegis, and the spell breaker sheild. with some other wierd ring. but yeah, if youre in to heavy armors, daedric is my personal favorite, although i did see myself constantly repairing my freakin curaiss...o well.swift monkee wrote:hey anybody have any suggestions for good heavy armor. The imperial dragon armor blows so dont suggest that. right now im using unenchanted steel armor so i can get my armor skill up be repairing.i like armor that matches so probably a complete set. well guys and galls?

Ring of the Lord is given to u by sheogorath after u become the duke of mania (probably dementia as well but i only did mania) gives u 22% shield enchantment along with some other ones. The raiment of Arden-sul gives u some shield as well, then u use a sheild of ur choice and u get some armor that doesnt need reparation lol

no in fact knights of the nine is one of my favorite armors. Almost each armor has some useful enchantment. There's calm lvl 25, heal 50 on touch with much lower cost than normal (25 instead of 149) fortify lots of restoration etc. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Knigh ... _New_Items for all the details

Re: Good heavy Armors
How on EARTH did you manage to get to level 47 without getting to 50 in armorer skill!!!!!!!! You must have tried REALLY hard to do that, and payed some one for all your repairing. I managed it by level 8 with it being minor skill and no bonus
I am lvl 14 and have had to corrode my own armor to make it to 47 skill, and train destruction. As a thief, armorer wasn't important to me, so I payed little attention to it. BTW I have always repaired looted armor before selling it as well so that didn't help me much. It really depends on how you play the game and I like to play a more freelance style than Oblivion likes to allow. Levelling system in Oblivion was a major step backwards, IMHO.
I suppose it does matter on whom you ask. But it does offer many enchantments that boost you up. And as for being the good guy, that does present a problem if you go around aimlessly killing. And it does take itself off if you put on the Grey Cowl of Nocturnal. But I've noticed this armor takes alot less maintenence than the daedric i used to use, its lighter i believe also. But yes, i suppose its truely a matter of opinion. And yes, daedric does look betterBelthazor wrote:In which way? Daedric armor already offers more protection than you can use and IMO looks better. Plus, it doesn't restrict you to be the good guy.Piff wrote:No its better than daedric
daedric is leveled, so you can only get it at lvl 23+. KotN armor's enchantments are leveled, not their armor rating. so you can have daedric armor at level 1!Belthazor wrote:In which way?
