Mine are on next monday and the 1st of June...
Shouldn't you be doing a normal GCSE? That could explain the difference...
Nope. Our S set (which I'm in) does it a year early, and does the IGCSE...

I don't know what's going on!

Wow, tall. xD

My boyfriend doesn't like it because I'm tall. xD I remember when we first started going out, he was insisting that he was 6'2".

"You're not 6'2," I said. He again said he was. "No, you're not. Because I'm 6 feet tall in heels, and when I'm in heels, I'm taller than you."

I pwned him. xD Yeah. He doesn't like me wearing heels.

Did/Do you have a tumor on your pituitary gland?
Height like that is usually caused by such a thing.
Or maybe you're a real grower.

If you're not still dramatically growing than you should be fine but if you're continuing to grow at an alarming rate, assuming you do, I'd see a doctor.

Extreme growth can lead to death, but, I'm getting to nosy and dark now, am I?

For some reason, many guys don't like girls taller than them. Not really sure why. Then again, the only girl I know who is taller than myself is Emma, the foreign exchange student from...

We just put our clocks forward an hour about a month ago, and it's light until about 8, 8:30pm at the moment.

It's like... even though you KNOW the other hemisphere's seasons are in reverse, it still feels weird when you think about it. o.O;;

I can't get my head round the fact you guys have Christmas in summer.
Does not compute. xDDD

Height is often associated with strength. Men like to feel like they're more powerful and stronger than their girl, so if the girl is taller, than they feel insignificant. Not true for all men, but most of the time, I could apply it to me.

It's true of all the guys I know as well. My bf doesn't like me wearing heels... even though I'm fairly short (about 5'4"/5'5", not sure since we use m/cm here and I suck at conversion), I'm just as tall as him when I wear heels (so double height sensitivity on his side). Of course, there are many, many times when I wear heels just to annoy him (frankly, I'm happier in flat shoes, they're way more comfy).

I'm 5'5 and my boyfriend is about 6'2, just about reach his chin i think lol.

pretty annoying that i have to go on my tip toes to kiss him as i don't wear heels. just wish i was abit taller lol. hes always calling me a short arse as well.

Would be easier to wear heels but i have not got very good balance and always tripping over anything

I always prefer guys to be taller, def something to do with feeling protected etc.

The only reason I like taller guys is because I think I'd look a bit stupid with a short bloke. xD I'm not really the kind of girl who wants to be protected. People say I wear the pants in our relationship. xD Poor bloke... I'm always shouting at my boyfriend, apparantly, and telling him what to do. lolz.

AAAAAARGH.

By next Friday at the absolute latest I have to have made a recording in the uni's concert halls. It started out well - I sent an e-mail to every music student at the uni asking if anyone wanted to be recorded playing in the recital hall and was inundated with responses, two of which were at times when I won't be doing an exam or handing in the assignment the recordings are for. Originally I was meant to be recording someone's recital on Friday. I found out that the uni has a strict(ly idiotic) policy on recording exams and it can only be done with a portable recorder. No problem, I thought, I'll just book the portable recorder, stick it on a mic stand and Bob's your auntie's live-in lover.

Sadly I was then informed by e-mail by the ever-unhelpful studio manager that the Music Tech department lost their one portable recorder in March and haven't bothered tracking it down yet. So I went to my other e-mails and found a singer with accompanying pianist who have a rehearsal slot tomorrow evening. I gave her a ring and a few minutes later I had a recording to do. Sadly it then started to go even more tits-up.

It's likely that the recital hall will be in use before the rehearsal slot so I won't be able to get in there to set up and the singer only has her accompanist for half an hour. This means I'm going to have to do the quickest set-up ever, but I came up with the bright idea of cabling everything up in the corridor outside, carrying it all in with the help of a mate, doing a quick levels check then pressing Record. I know how I want to set the mics up too, in a mid-side configuration with a pair of ambient omni mics. Yes.

Then I found out that some moron has booked out every single microphone he could get his hands on for that time, and he is under threat at the moment of being on the receiving end of what I believe is known as a Prescott unless he surrenders some of them to me. And now the studio manager (him again) hasn't replied to an e-mail that I sent at 1:30 asking if I could borrow a laptop and an 8-channel recorder.

So, I've got a recording slot booked, the last chance I'm going to have to record anything before I fail a module in the last year of my degree, and at the moment it looks like I'll be recording it on my own laptop using whatever microphones I can find lying around. Brilliant.

can your teacher (tutor/lecturer/head whatever) for the module help? if you're having trouble getting the equipment in time you should ask them what you can do. maybe they can pull a few strings for you (pardon the pun)

No, his response is that I should have organised things earlier irrespective of the fact that I had things like my dissertation to worry about.

Word.
Although I can be quite strong and hate showing any weakness in public, I still kinda need someone who I can turn to who will protect me and all that. It's nice being able to rely on someone else for a while.

On that note, since nearly all guys like smaller girls I'm glad I'm on the short side, I'd probably suit loads more people than a tall lass

What happened to me today:
I went down to the student office cos I wanted to switch two of my subjects around.
Currently: Classical archaeology (major), Prehistory (first minor) and Ancient history (second minor).
To be changed to: Prehistory (major), Classical archaeology (first minor) and Ancient history (second minor).
Sound simple?

No can do.
For some stupid reason, with Prehistory as major I can't have Ancient history as second minor, only as first, so I'd have to do Classical Arch as second. Forget that, history sucks I'm not doing it.
So tomorrow I have to go run around after various people to see why I can't do what I want to do and if there is any way after all. And find out why their system is so twisted.

similar thing happens in Scotland in highschool (secondary school). there are three sciences, chemistry, physics and biology, but you're not allowed to take all three. only up to two. why?

someone i know did sciences in a difference country and was allowed to do all three there. so why not here???
