The reason I am depressed however, is, well, I completely fell for a girl while there. She stayed at the same resort I did, and she was amazing. I learned later that she lived somewhere in the UK, probably England, after listening to her accent. To make matters worse, I live in Indianapolis. Ouch. You can see how that would work out. I actually never even got a chance to talk to her. I am now really ticked at myself.
Sorry, but that makes the whole thing a bit stalker-ish...
Lol! I wasn't stalking. I approached her a few times, but her family was right beside her, and that could cause problems.

lol, I remember that day, too. The boys were going round pretending to write lovely "Good luck" messages on their mate's backs, but actually writing other rather... questionable things.

I remember the boy who used to sit in front of me had things like "Enter" written on his back and then an arrow pointing down to his bum, and "Mrs Worthington makes me hot". Mrs Worthington was a shrivled old woman. Me and my friends were giggling at the stuff written on his back, he turned round and asked us what we were laughing at, he turned his shirt around, looked at it a moment, then sped off yelling "HADLEY! I'll kill you!"

He obviously knew his friends well, because was right about who had written it. xD
Sorry for the double post, but this has to be one of the funniest things I have ever heard.

I have an upcoming exam where I have to choose (or invent) a room then acoustically treat it. I've decided to do my bedroom, and armed with a tape measure, the Internet and my trusty Sharp DAL Advanced calculator I've worked out what needs doing to it, and can report that there's two massive bass frequencies that need sorting out and I need a new door*. And that's about it, and I have 3 hours to write all this up...

* Interesting little fact about doors. If you're wondering why your door doesn't actually seem to block that much sound from whatever's on the other side of it it probably means it's poorly-fitted. If you work out the surface area of the little gap that runs all the way around the door you'll find out that it's the equivalent of having a massive hole in the middle of the door.

Yesterday turned out to be fairly laid back. Hung out drank a few beers and played street fighter 4. After that i went to the pool hall for a few hours.

Tonight is going to be bittersweet. My friends band is playing tonight but its the last time theyll play. One of the members is moving to montana. Its gonna be interesting though.

Today I got annoyed because I popped into work to ask about my day off next Sunday (been waiting to hear about it for ages) and it turns out I can't have it. No one will cover it. -_-;;;

I wanted it off because my mate's having a Eurovision party on Saturday night, with the Drink-a-Song Contest - you need to have a drink each song. Sounded like fun. :( And now I can't go, because I have to be at the stupid Co-Op at 9am sunday. *kicks*

sundays are the hardest to get cover. did you go through the boss or ask your workmates? bosses don't like people swapping but workmates can be persuaded for a favour :)

The manager's in hospital. Had an operation for a stomach ulcer, and then a stroke. He has major heart problems... second or third stoke since I started there in August.

And the only people I know at work are the people who work the same shifts I do. I only do Fridays and Sundays, and it's the same people both shifts.

But I am getting really annoyed. I haven't been able to take any of my annual leave from work since I started, because the manager's always ill, and no one else can do it. It's not his fault, but the higher-ups should have got someone in who can take over while he's away, he's been off for three months, but no-one can get the time off they're entitled to. I;ve only ever had two days off, which may not sound that bad considering I only do Fridays and Sundays, but considering i have college every day apart from that, I never really have a day off. Plus, I can never go out. All my mates go out on Fridays or Saturdays, and I can't do Fridays because I work late, and I can't do Saturdays because I have to be at work for 9am the next day.

I basically have no social life, just college and work. D:

I've got a better idea - each person picks a country, then every time they get no points, you drink.

But then whoever goes for England clearly gets more drinks than someone who gets an ex-part of Soviet Russia.

(Ooh! I'm getting edgier! Are they just getting votes because of the countries? The controversy!)

Unfortunately, last year, the commentary was drowned out by... "Boogaloo Steve"... we just wanted the lyrics, and that pink-haired monstrosity decided to pop up every five minutes!

Ahh, but this year, We have Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber writing the song. And I think they've changed the voting... there's still phone voting, but also a set of judges! xD

But it won't be quite the same this year... Wogan's not doing the commentary anymore. Graham Norton instead.

But I love Eurovision. this is still my favourite entry ever:

High Five!
I also liked the Bosnia and Herzegovnia entry of 2008
So today, I went to school (yes, I have to go to school on Saturday morning), got home, listened to some silly songs, played some Fallout 3, then some Team Fortress 2, then I watched Britain's got More Talent. It hasn't, by the way.

Silly me! I thought the B&H was a year earlier than it was.

Graham Norton? Do I foresee some sort of Father Ted crossover happening here? All together now - "My lovely horse, running through the field, where are you going with your fetlocks blowing in the wind?"

Anyway, on topic, today I have managed to achieve some sort of equinox between hair length and beard length such that I look a lot like Robin Hood from the popular BBC series of the same name, which is a lot better than looking like Little John like I did a few months ago. My housemate suggested dyeing her hair black so we can have Robin Hood vs Guy of Gisborne fights, an idea which I fully supported.

Wait a sec... WTF? Really?!
I'm gonna have to watch Eurovision after all then... Let's just hope he manages to make another masterpiece like, say, The Last Supper or I Only Want To Say. :D

Anyway, I went to a party yesterday, got home today around, umm, 3 or 4pm was it?
I'm a bit annoyed at my dearest for his utterly flawed logic, well, rather drunken logic. It makes no sense at all that I shouldn't get to kiss him when he's drunk just 'cus I'm a teetotaler. Not sure about the terminology here but I'm a soberist, i.e won't get drunk, and not an absolutist, i.e won't drink alcohol at all, so his logic just failed. >.> Still, the party was fun, drunken people are quite a reliable source of entertainment. I'm awfully tired now though as we only slept for 1.5 hours. XD

Today, I went to work, and had to try REALLY hard not to vomit all over the till at one customer who came in.

One thing, he was fat. NOTHING against fat people. But this guy had his belly drooping down over his shorts and his t-shirt only came halfway down his chest. There were food stains all down his front.
He absolutley STANK. I can't describe the smell. It was vile. It was enough to make you retch.

And to make matters worse, he wiped his nose with his hand, making lots of nasty sniffy snorty noises. And when I say wiped, I mean the kind where people start with wiping the back of their hand, and then turn it, until they're kind wiping up their wrist, y'know?

And then...

he handed me the money for his purchase WITH THE SAME HAND.

Ewewewewewewew.

I had to ring for someone to take me off till once he'd left so I could go and wash my hands and retch freely.

I hope to god he doesn't come in again.
