Start new game

Post by Dianne »

Hi all

Can anyone give a newb advise. Can I start a new game with new character and KEEP my current game?
As a newbie started a chracter but would like to try a different one. But don't want to start the whole game again unless I am sure I will like the new one better.

Can you have two seperate games on one PC?

Yes, you can start a new game, but be careful to make a save with your new character's name. When returning to game after saving, be careful not to click on any of the old character's saves.

For now, I have two characters. Somteimes I play with the Skade doll and other times with the Brigitte doll. ;)

Thanks Akela

Thanks Akela :D

I understand I just have to devide save slots and use quick save plus Full save during game.

Now to have some fun making a more feminine character with some kick ... moves

Dianne, you can name your savegames aswell using the console.
Open the console and type:

Save MySaveGameName

Full saves just keep "current state" till you delete them - old character, old state of the world and quests etc. Quicksaves and autosaves get overwritten. The game simply doesn't care which character you play when it comes to saving, you have full save number 87 with your first character about to save Bruma, then you click "new" on the title screen of the game and start a new character, upon exiting the sewers you make another savegame and it gets number 88. But you can just fine load your save 87, save Bruma, create another new save (number 89) and return to the new character by loading save 88. Switch at will. Of course overwriting old saves... well, overwrites them. And same about quicksaves, the game doesn't care who you played when you did last quicksave, it just saves a new one with the new character.

This is not a MMORPG where you pay for an account. This is just a standard single-player game where you keep what you save, you lose what you delete or overwrite, and you start from scratch whenever you want.

Whose buttocks sounded sonorous tunes
‘Twas an odiferous song
People sang before long
They had enough of his full crescent moons.
