If you would wake up in the prison, what would you do?

If you would wake up in the prison, what would you do?

Post by Josjie »

There has been a topic like this a while back but it's quite old, so I'm starting a new one.

If YOU (in real-life, not one of your in-game characters/avatars) would wake up in the prison cell in Oblivion (imagine being transported in the game :P), what would you do? Who would you be?

And yes, you're allowed to say "I would be the Champion of Cyrodiil", even if that's not very realistic ;)

I'll start:
I would be a male Dark Elf. When the Blades pass through my cell, I kill Glenroy with his own sword, immediatly followed by Baurus and Renault. I would explain to the emperor that they were Mythic Dawn assassins.
I would then kill the first Mythic Dawn assassins, wear their robe & hood, and give another set to the Emperor, so they'll think we're Mythic Dawn assassins too. I would tell them that we're going to wait for the emperor at the end of the sewers :). With the Emperor save, no Oblivion gates will open. Martin, his only heir, dies from a natural cause, or so they say (actually I killed him). Years and years later, I'm the Grand Champion of the Arena and I'll be the next emperor :D

I would be a Dark Elf swordsman, I would freak out when I awoke with Black skin in a jail cell with Valen Dreth throwig insults at me. I would go through the tutorial, think Uriel Septim is a mad-man and do my own thing ignoring the main quest (Atleast untill Mehrunes Dagon showed up then I would haul ass to Jauffre).

Id be an handsome Imperial Rogue that used his good-looks and natural charm to swindle people, mainly women, out of their valuables and money.
:Twisted Evil:

If anyone ever complained to the guard, I would simply kill them and join the Dark Brotherhood and immediately tell Lucien who the traitor is and show him the dairy in anvil as proof.

I would be a Male Dunmer Warrior. I would then join The Imperial Legion and 'climb the ladder' there.

I would then retire, and join The Fighters Guild.
Then i would become Master, then retire, and join the Arena.

Then i would.....
Doin my own, thang, and if you got a problem with that
Then the nina go bang, bang, and I'll be everywhere on the map - but
I rep that West

i would swipe the keys from whoever has them and kill valen dreth
then join up with the emperor and company but backstab then while they're fighting mythic dawn assassins. after i hand over the amulet of kings to mankar camoran so he can open the oblivion gates and bring mehrunes dagon. afterwards he would surly make me some high ranking lord so i sit back and enjoy my wonderful life. the end.

I would be a male Dark Elf.
Screw the Emperor! I'd follow him, let him & his Blades die, then finish off what's left of the assasins.
Then I'd go to the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary and slaughter them all.
I'd track down the Black Hand and slaughter them, saving Lucien Lachance. I'd then prove to him that the traitor was whatsit (can't remember his name) and pledge my servives to him.
Then I'd sod off.
ACK!

Or he would be afraid that one day you would try to attack him so he'll just kill you ;)

I think I agree with josjie on this one. Sweetalmonds is operating on the assumption that evil people think on the same level as moral people do.

Thats just simply not the case. We dont reward going above and beyond the call of duty. We view those types of people as threats, not assests.

I would be a Bosmer, lean but strong. Being insulted at the Dark Elf across the way, I'd ignore his stupidity and help the guards protect Uriel Septim as much as possible. I'm skillful with bow and blade.

I would wake cold and shivering, due to a lack of proper garments - sack-cloth clothing and sandals are hardly enough to keep me warm in a prison cell. I would then start freaking out, realising I've woken up in a game world and could quite easily die within the next few minutes. I amble to the door in the hope that a guard could give me a blanket or something when Valen Dreth starts rambling away.

"Well, well... and Imperial in the Imperial Prison..."

Having played through the game countless times I ignore this and countinue waiting for a guard, when Uriel Septim shows up with his heavies.

Renault: "What's this prisoner doing here? This cell is supposed to be off-limits."

Me: "Look Renault, It's not like I want to be in here. Just walk on in, go through your secret passage and I'll go my own way."

Renault: "How... how do you know my name, prisoner?"

Me: "I'm actually Akatosh forced into the body of an Imperial. I know all your names. Your Glenroy, your Baurus and of course, your Emperor Uriel Septim IV, whose going to die in approximately half an hour.

Uriel: "Your not Akatosh. I've seen you. You are the one from..."

Me: "Shut up Uriel. If I'm not Akatosh, how would I know you've got an illegitimate son named Martin, whose living in the city of Kvatch, which, just so you know is going to be a smoking wreck by the end of this week. If I'm not there to save his ass, who will?"

[Insert stunned silence here]

Me: Well, I don't have time for this, so I'll be off.

I walk to the back of the cell, press the secret brick and walk on down through the secret passage.

I'd be a Khajiit.

I'd escape the imperial sewers and become a thief in the guild. I'd pledge my loyalty to the Gray Fox - but not actually become him.

Then, at a high rank in the guild, I would leave Cyrodiil.
I would enter the Shivering Isles, and protect myself from being mad.
I would become Sheogorath, and then wait for someone more dedicated than me to assume the role of the Madgod.

At that stage I would pester the other Daedric Princes until they let me become one, and I would live happily on my plane of Oblivion.

And I'd grow an awesome mane.

Well, for one thing, I wouldn't be any of the 10 playable races. (He is talking about your actual self you know, not a khajiit, dark elf, and or any of their races, so people would just assume you're either redguard, nord, imperial, or breton depending on how you look physically)

I wake up in the prison and Valen thinks I'm an imperial and goes on about how they don't play favorites. When the guards come and go through my cell, I smile and wave bye to Dreth and say "See you on the outside, oh wait. No. You're going to die in here." then mutter to myself "I'll make sure of it"
Follow the guards and do standard tutorial things, you got to get used to the new lifestyle y'know... I let the emperor die and let the normal history go through the world, that is, going off do what I want until I'm high enough level (if I can level that is, remember being human). First I travel to Bruma and do Two Sides of the coin and assassinate Arnora, joining the dark brother hood and keeping her awesome blue amulet as a trophy. Go through a few dark brotherhood quests (Ending after doing "Whodunit?", god I love that quest lol). Then basically doing whatever I want, aka, killing and hunting deer and other various life forms, like bandits.

i would be an imperial/assasin/mage and as they are about to open the ghate i pop all of them with a huge *** fireball then go on a killing spree, then years and years later i become the ruler of cyrodiil and also kill the nine divines and make sithis my ally.

Gay. Khajiits are awesome. I'd still grow a mane though.
Wouldn't it be awesome if a few of us woke up there, so we weren't alone? That'd be better.

I'll retire in the isolated house south of skinrad and continue to experiment with Poisons and search for a FREAKIN WAY OUT, with magic

I'd start banging on the bars with a cup and shout, "I am Mehrunes Dagon! I am the Prince of Destruction!"

Then Id get to hear the guards say, "No more drugs for that man."

First I would be shocked and think that I was dreaming. Then when I start
to recognise my surroundings and realise that I'm in Cyrodiil I would try
to use magic. :D Yey!

Next I would probably realise that I have to go through the tutorial, and I
doubt that my fighting skills would be very impressive. This thought
would freak me out, and I then start to find a way to "save the game", so
I can reload it when I get killed by the first rat I encounter

And if I get through that I would ignore the main quest. Instead I would
improve my stealth skills and join the Thieves Gulid, and probably also
the Mages Guild. :D
