Willpower

Post by Dragour »

Ok I am making spells for Morrowind, restore magicka spells in fact (trying to base it upon willpower level)

so once I reach level 50 in willpower, I will remove my old spell and add a new one, the new spell will have the power of what level 50 willpower restores on Oblivion. So could someone give me the restore/per second, for each ten levels of willpower? 10-20-30- up to 100 thanks

I might be wrong but if this is for Morrowind, it should probably be in that forum.

But anyway, I wouldn't worry. A moderator will most likely move this, when they see it.

My perpose is about Morrowind yes, but my question is directly about Oblivion, the use of Willpower in 'Oblivion'. I am to make spells on Morrowind corresponding the regeneration time of the willpower, which is only on Oblivion

I should have realized. Thats usually a newbie mistake. Nothing against them, but its a mistake that they commonly make.

True. But let me stop, so someone can actually respond to your question.

In oblivion willpower regenerates a percentage of your magic pool per second, so how much it regenerates depends on the size of your pool. To the best of my knowledge no direct conversion table exists, but I've been wrong before.
I would be a procrastinator, but I keep putting it off.

Argh, it seems as if the next thing would be having a spell that restores 1pt per willpower, but then at 100 willpower it will be restoring 100pt per second!? <_< never mind that short flown plan.

but still does anyone know the formulae for how Willpower works?

i'm 360 but I can tell with a enourmous willpower you can regenerate a pool of magicka of 150 or something in about 7-10 seconds. I had glitched about 500 willpower so I don't care about willpower anymore, Welkynd stones FTW.
My current glitch character (I keep them apart) has over 2000 magicka and with the use of welkynd stones I can spray with paralysis effects which are 120 seconds, with feets!

Only been here a month? Some people might refer to that as the "pot calling the kettle black". Yes, I realize that would apply to me as well.

By the way, you post here like it's your job. Where do I sign up for that career path?

I remember seeing an exact formula on the Oblivion Willpower page... Or somewhere around there... Check there, since your magicka max affects regeneration as well, that much I remember.

Edit- Found it!
MagickaRegenRate = 0.01 * (fMagickaReturnBase + fMagickaReturnMult * Willpower) * TotalMagicka.

Where the construction set specifies that fMagickaReturnBase=0.75 and fMagickaReturnMult=0.02.

For example, with 100 base Magicka and 100 Willpower, your Magicka regeneration rate will be 0.01 * ((.02 * 100 Will) + .75) * 100 Magicka = 2.75 Magicka points per second. The regeneration rate will continue to increase if your willpower is increased past 100.

The formua is,
MagickaRegenRate = 0.01 * (fMagickaReturnBase + fMagickaReturnMult * Willpower) * TotalMagicka

:shock: Just got out of bed a short time ago and now I have to read these science like formulaes XD
This is very complicated (my view) but I think I do understand it, might pay for me to just do some experiments with this formula.

Thanks everyone for the tips and chad for finding it.
