Why don't you ask Mandangalow? Apparently he has all the answers. ;-)

mandangalow, I suggest the following:

Neck:
Necklace of Swords

Rings:
Mundane Ring
Ring of Perfection (+10 to each stat)
I probably wouldn't bother with nighteye...if you're going to be using illusion, just make yourself a nighteye spell that lasts a long time.

Helm:
One of the Aylied Crowns (I think Lindai has illusion fortification) during combat, and of course the Gray Cowl for sneaking

Chestpiece:
Morag Tong

Bracers:
Enchant something (probably glass) with fortify magika using a sigil stone

Leggings:
Morag Tong if you expect to be carrying a lot of weight (and as an assassin, you're also probably an alchemist so you'll probably weigh a ton), or similar enchantment to the bracers

Feet:
Keep them open, switch between boots of springheel jak, morag tong, and the nice feather ones you can find as loot (I don't really remember the name off the top of my head)

ALTERNATE:
Keep the rings and neck items the same, but for the head/chest piece/bracers/leggings/feet have the sigil stone frost shield/fire shield/shock shield and then maybe a feather, plus fortify the ability of your choice (or maybe another feather).

I would suggest Detect Life and some Fortify Magicka. Both from Transcendend Sigil Stones.

He is the cheif stewart to the lady of the Chorrol Castle so your best bet is to find him around the countess.

If nothing else works, you could use the console to make a copy of him, and console-kill him after you've talked to him. BUT: Remember to save first, in case of anything unexpected should happen. Or you could just sneak around the whole castle, hoping to find him somewhere.

He must be somewhere in the castle... unless you were a prat and killed him for no reason... Doesn't the quest arrow point to him?

I think the arrow just point to the castle main hall.

Skills vs. Attributes

Post by The Resonator »

I've been wondering this for a while now. I've looked on the UESPWiki and scoped out the forums, but I've been unable to find a suitable answer to this question: is it more important to focus on raising attributes or skills? In other words, is it better to have higher attributes or higher skills? Or does it even matter? Both skills and attributes are capped at 100, so should you try to reach the max in attributes or skills first? Or is doing one of those impossible? Which one has a bigger effect on how much damage you deal, how much damage you block, etc.? If I've confused you, these are all basically different variations of the same question, so don't feel like you need to answer all of them (unless they have different answers).

Surely by increasing your skills, you increase your attributes? I do kind of see what you mean, though. When I'm using enchantments to boost health/magicka/fatigue, is it more effective to boost them or their governing attribute?
