My oblivion end game plan
Hey, I've just about done everything I can possibly do in Oblivion and I feel my playing time is coming to an end (I'm the kind of person who plays something to completion once and never plays it again). But I want to go out with a bang so I've come up with a few ideas:
1. collect one of every guard cuirass/shield (though to steal but all I need is patience)
2. Buy every house (already done!)
3. Complete all the quests (did that by level 20, completed the main quest at level 5!)
4. Have as much gold as possible (I have a trick that I want to explain below)
5. When all those and anything else I can think of is done, KILL EVERYONE.
Pretty simple, and I'm already well on my way!
As for a GREAT way to get lots of gold (near the end of the game, it would be REALLY hard if you didn't have some nessecary things) is quite complex but totally worth it. What you need is:
50+ Mercentile (and the frostcraig spire so you can sell anything to the npc with 2000 gold)
a full set of armor (bound is the best, completely weightless) with enough grand soul gems to enchant them all with fortify strenght (I orginally had it feather but strenght is much better!)
you should be at level 20 or above (that is to maximize the value of the loot!)
All you have to do is empty out your inventory except for the strenght fortify armor and any thing you need to keep (potions). I have usually 85/695 for my wieght before I start. Then go to Rockmilk cave, it's full of bandits and marauders who will fit each other. Just let them duke it out or kill them all. Then loot the corpses all all their armor (don't take useless or low value items) once you're almost over-emcumbered take all the loot you can carry to the store in the imperial city (i repair all first to help my armorer skill). Sell it all, it doesn't matter if it's worth more than 2,000 gold you won't find a better value unless you're an expert or master in mercentile. You can also cash in the black bows to the cound in leyawin for 100 gold each. Doing this I cleared out the cave and came out with a cool 100,000 gold! So far I've done this twice (you have to wait some time before they all respawn, but there's plenty to keep your attention) and also done it in a number of other dungeons but it's only worth it if it's npcs becuase monsters and undead don't wear armor.
I tried doing it with the gray cowl but the guards made it way too hard to be useful. You really need to enchance your own stuff. As of right now I have 300,000+ gold and still build, I'm aiming for a million!

I'm working on something like this myself...except my aim is
1 of every ingredient
1 of every "unique" item
Complete every quest
Own every horse
Own every house
Sleep as LITTLE as possible
Max every stat
Be caught with as few crimes as possible
...then record my fame/infamy, then kill everybody in the game and see how that changes it

Well, the game certainly HAS lasted me much longer then I thought it would, but how many times can you defeat the SAME three minotuar lords in the arena? hear the night mother talk about some random person while you're stuck in place? go into the same dungeon for the same amount of loot? This game isn't endless, no matter how much it wants to be. Eventually you will have done everything you can possible do at least once.
After a while you have to start screwing around with stuff (using the gray cowl to mess with guards) I bought the house in skingrad to hold all my cool stuff I found and for fun I've been making my new servent look like somekind of inhuman monster (a pile of bones in the corner, the mythic dawn commentaries, four viles of human blood and various hearts on the table, a severed head on the cabinet and other necromancer/mythic dawn stuff) All of which was hilarious for the first couple days but with her just smiling like an idiot when I enter it lost it's touch.
Recently I learned of Dive Rock (I hadn't been able to find it before) and ventured there to get the quest and, of course, kill the adoring fan. I pushed him off the cliff (three times before he died!) and never got the quest even after picking up the journal (and reading it). I killed the matron and left. I went back later to find the marton fully visible (no idea why) and decided to do something crazy. SO... I'm taking her to the ocean. You heard me! I'm trying to drag her body south to the Vile Lair (it's slow going, i'm only to cheyindal
) (and for some reason as I neared cheyindal the adoring fan somehow came back to life!)
Oh, and for those of you saying (just use the console command to summon one or something) I'm on an xbox 360. So I hope you all realise just what an adventure I'm in for.

Once i'm done with everything, i'll start the TG questline. Then, at The Great Heist, i'll slide tha bar fully up, and try and see just how long it takes without being caugth.. perhaps try and get some mods with fruther hardens it. And then kill Gray Fox's wife while he's looking, but that's just me.. And then kill everyone, as y'all says
I came, I read, I wrote.
