Master alchemy equipment
Does anyone know locations of Master alchemy equipment locations? Thanks
i have a full master set, however i haven't found any fixed locations. just assumed it's like much of the other loot, that is to say that your chances of getting something of higher quality is more based on your character level than anything else. then looting areas where you're likely to find the items you seek. for example: search necromancer dens or ruins for alchemly equipment. they always seem to have several pieces laying around.
You can only get Master equip in random loot. You have to be at least level 17 (character level, not Alch level) for Master equip to start appearing.
I find Vindasel by far the easiest place to get it. Kill the two creatures/monsters outside, then save your game before going in. Each time you enter the ruin, the loot in the chest at the end of the ruin is fixed, but you can quickly run through the ruin, w/o having to fight anything, and just chk the contents of the chest. If it's not what you want, reload from outside and repeat.
Can be abit painful, but it's the easiest way of ensuring you get a full set as soon as poss. I do tend to fortify my Luck before I do the Save on the outside of the ruin.
Once you have one piece, you can rtn in 3 days (by which time everything would have respawned provided you haven't visited in the meantime) to get the next.

I was going to make a thread about this. I'm at level 47 or so, and I've been playing the game for well over 200 hours--not all at once, I've been playing over the course of about 8 or 9 months. The one thing I have not even seen is the Master Calcinator. I've sat and reloaded going into Oblivion towers, Ayleid ruins, etc. I cannot seem to get the godamn'd Master Calcinator. I keep getting Master Alembics, Morter and Pestles, and Retorts, but I only get expert Calcinators. I've had a 100-level Alchemy skill for a long time now, WHY CAN'T I GET THE FREAKIN' MASTER CALCINATOR?!? It's probably the most useful item of the bunch aside from the Morter and Pestle. Why is this game torturing me in such a sadistic fashion? Why can't it just give me the calcinator I need? 250 hours, I'm not even joking, and still nothing.

I have never had any trouble with that. They don't seem to be any harder to find that other master equipment. I don't know what you feel about cheating, but if you are on PC, you can use the console to get one.
I used to play Oblivion, then I took an arrow in the knee.

I am currently working on getting them, so far I have found 5 master mortar and pestles, and 1 master retort. I've crawled 15/17 dungeons that are listed on the site, and if I haven't found the other two in the next two dungeons I am going to drop the 4 extra m&p and use the console to add a master calcinator and alembics. Fair enough for me
