Running Daggerfall on Vista

I've been told it is doable. I was pointed to a tutorial on how to get it to run even, so I went through the motions.

I D/Led and installed dosbox, setup the files accordingly and modified the configuartion settings (following the guide posted here on the UESP at http://www.uesp.net/wiki/General:Playin ... der_DOSBox )

When I run fall z.cfg , all that loads is a black page. It appears that the game ought to be working, but only a black screen comes up.

Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

Actually, it is only do-able if you have a computer that can run 16-bit applications.
That you aren't getting an error message is odd though. I get error messages telling me I need to get a 32-bit version of the program.
