Aetherius trouble

Post by Flubly »

Hey I'm in that dimension, Aetherius where Nulfaga sends you to get the Mantella Crux. I'm confused, I pulled the lever on the levitating platform that you fly to and then when I got to the doors I couldn't get the sequence right. When I got there I saw them like this (viewing from the elevator platform that takes you down to it.) the left and right doors were closed and the closest and farthest doors were open. According the UESP walkthrough, you are supposed to close the door that shocks you. I did not get shocked by any of the doors but the one of the right does make a different sound from all the others when you open and close it. The door on the left will not open at all. I didn't touch them since that was the only setup that coincided with walkthrough to the best of my ability, but the blue bars were still blocking that door in the wall thats high up. What do I do? Is this a bug or am I being dumb?

I'll help ya! I just beat Daggerfall again for the second time. I have saved games in Aetherius.
So, what you do is click the door that's facing west. So go stand in the center of that circle of four doors, right, and then face west. That door that's in front of you is the west door. Click it and click the one opposite from it; the east door. You can hear them close. The other ones are open, but if it makes you feel better, you can close them and reopen them. The blue bars should be open.

Feel free to ask me more questions about this Quest. This is the hardest one in the whole game, trust me!

Please do not necro-post. Have a look at the date for the last post in a thread before you make a new post. I hardy believe that Flubly will come back and check the forum after 2 years...

I used to play Oblivion, then I took an arrow in the knee.

A viking is just a horny pirate.

PROVED WRONG!

Its just chance that I came back. I remembered that I never beat the game after playing Gothic II (rival to elder scrolls) and so was searching youtube for that specific ending. Came here on a whim and smackdown! I'll check out the offered solution.
