install problem

Post by aelina »

Evidently I'm missing something.... just finished Morrowind (or nearly, anyway), and thought I'd take a look at "where it all began", so I downloaded Arena from the Bethesda site, for once very pleased that I'm still running Win98, since it seemed the installation would be easier than with a newer system, for a change. However, this doesn't seem to be the case. When I try to install the game, I get the message "Can only install from floppy disk". What am I overlooking? Am I going to have to fool with the DOSEmulator (and why, if I'm on Win98)? Any help would be appreciated.

Trust me Dosbox isn't difficult, a readme comes with that download of arena, and follow the readme step by step, and you'll get it. I got it working quite well actually, and Dosbox also has video capture.

Oh, and i know little about the technical stuff of floppys, but is there anyway you cold "Burn" the file to a floppy and install from there, i think the problem is where its not on a floppy, like the PopUp says
