Old folks.

Post by ArotosMarkos »

'ello, folks.

It's ArotosMarkos, your good friend, back for Thanksgiving.

I just want to see how many of the "older" folks are still here, the folks from the Golden Age of UESP.

We might as well have a litte reunion!
I missed it here.

I'm not sure about the 'Golden Age' but I remember a lot of you...if that counts.

Well... If you don't remember, Jeff and Weka have left. Cactus and I are on hiatus, Relax n Play is gone until further notice, IronMaiden hasn't officially left, but she doesn't keep up anymore, The Tourist has joined up with the military, and John117 might just be leaving; thanks for openning up old wounds....

I think 2007 counts as an old folk. Happy to see you guys again. Haven't gone on in a while. I can't believe Jeff and Weka left. That sucks. :(

You were here long after that event came to pass, Mudcrab. It was a very disheartening thing to have happened, and I wish that it had not. However, I see that they are not to be consoled, not only in that they have not returned, but also that they had an opinion of the current forums that was less than honoring. Jeff, especially, made this clear with his accusatory style of posting, which, I assume, he did on purpose as he noted that he was doing so. (If you're wondering why I'm going so in depth it's because I just got back from reading the thread that ended their careers here, and I have more than a few opinions that are not to be discussed. I have allowed myself this little paragraph to make up for my longing to have been there so as to do anything within me that could have prevented two of our most revered members from leaving).

While Jeff and Weka's permanent vacation of the boards is nothing new, there are a few things that have come to light; some of those revelations are hidden discretely among the pages, so if you have any questions on any subject that has arisen since your hiatus, feel free to PM me. Other than today, wherein I have forced myself upon these good people, I log in, now, only to check any PMs that have been sent to me. I suggest that you read the Welcomes and Goodbyes thread first so that you may grasp an understanding of our current population and the identities therein.

To conclude: Welcome back, our beloved friend. We hope you find as much joy in the forums that you had found before.

I have returned from my (surprisingly brief) absence.

I will be here until further notice.

Edit: My interest for these forums is waning, however, seeing that my attempt at establishing roleplaying here failed, and that many of the members I started with are gone.

I've also begun to seriously mod for Oblivion, but the modding section is for the most part a facet of these forums.

'TES Alliance' is the forum which has begun to drag me away from here, it's a good haven for ex-UESP members, though what you're listening to type threads are banned, and general forum more or less equates to roleplaying forum.

(The threads come in the form of highly controlled sticky posts, each new one being a continuation of the last thread.)

I applied there as Dragonsmoon, and almost forgot about these forums until their website had a server update.

A good few notable members have passed;

Tourist I know is in military service now.

Weka and Jeff have left. (See Wolf's post.)

Vargon has recently chosen to leave.

Dark Lord still hangs around here.

Teinaava is still here.

The Raven is still here. (Also - Holy #$&Y@, Raven's post count rose up to Guardian?!)

WolfGang IceEye, Blue the Thief, PinballWizard seem like they will be the ones to fill in the gap of lost 'golden age' members.

I'm not sure if we've ever spoken, but I've seen you around, and I'm still here... though whether you count me as coming from "The golden age", I'm not sure.

I don't know what I'm counted as but I do remember the good ol' days. *gets nostalgic*
It is indeed sad when people leave.. I do miss Weka, she made the strongest impression on me when I first joined. Of course there's many more I miss but if I'd make a list I'd definitely forget a name or two and feel bad about it. :?

Wait when did the dark ages start to happen again, most people say read the wiki because the don't really know much about the topic and want to seem like there helpful, but I don't know many people who do that...

haha, Mrs. T! I was at the supermarket the other days and saw a box in the frozen food areas for "Mrs. T's frozen dinners" or something. I wanted to take a picture but forgot my phone and camera at home.

Hah.
It's good to see that many of you have remained here.
What of Deandra? Codex?

And Doros...Doros, I will sorely miss...We never really connected until soon before he left.
*Sniff*
Hold me.
I missed it here.
