A few of you have sent me PM's regarding my relationship with my pseudo-boyfriend. I realized that it is most probable that none of you really understand what's going on. I don't feel like I can post the story in this thread, as it does contain names, but if any of you want it, please contact me. I should warn you, it is a bit of a text wall.

Thank you, sir. I'd like to think so as well.leroybrown wrote:Rickroll is the dumbest thing ever, ever. I believe cactus is more original than that.
@Blue:
Rickrolling is, as leroy said, the "dumbest thing ever, ever." The basic concept is that you post a link somewhere and say it's one thing, but it's actually a link to a video of Rick Astley's music video for "Never Gonna Give You Up." It's kind of like what I did with the cookie thing, linking to www.youfail.org, except that youfail.org is actully awesome. And I did link to an actual cookie directly underneath to make up for it.
I personally don't even get the fad, or why it's a fad. If you REALLY want to know, links below.

Basically, instead of composing music note-by-note you write a computer program to do it for you. It's based mainly around random number generation and probability. The King wrote:r wrote:As you know I'm a keen musicist, I am currently getting into algorithmic composition. So far I've only finished one piece entitled simply 'Change'. When you switch it on it chooses 4 notes at random and plays them in a sequence over and over again. Whilst this is going on, there's two probability functions which have a chance of producing a chord made from the four notes every so often. After the chord is played 7 times another 4 notes are chosen and it all starts up again. In theory it should take absolutely ages to repeat itself but annoyingly that's not always the case.
I'm also working on one called 'Lush Growth Bomb' which starts with one note and then uses chaos theory to make it exponentially grow into a detailed piece of music. It's proving very hard to make though.

I've not written much music myself. I've written a couple pieces for my Tenor sax, and one or two for the piano, but that's about it. I am very good at playing by ear, e.g. I can hear a song a few times, then play it on the piano accurately. Also, I've tried to add my own twists to some music... with mixed success. For the most part it sounds fine.....
I really would like to play more video game music on my Sax, but the piano just lends itself so much more to such things [since it can act as multiple instruments]....

That's actually really cool.

I like to play my own songs with unplugged piano. Otherwise I play mostly console games with my friends but never forget to finish homeworks. In IT I am not expert but pretty good.

Wait, I googled 10,140,480 minutes and that's 19 years old. Is that what you meant?
I'm..
..24 years old.
..290 months old.
..1,262 weeks old.
..8,839 days old.
..212,136 hours old.
..12,728,190 minutes old.
..763,691,454 seconds old.
You can google it by simply typing "xx years to yy" where xx is how old you are in years and yy is whatever unit of measurement you want. For example, I'd type in:
24 years to minutes and it'd come up with 12,622,770.4
Or simpler, go to the Age Calculator and put in your birthday.
Bonus Information:
I was born on Stardate 10514.7

Having been away from school for 1.5 weeks means that I'm now buried in school work, hence why I haven't been online lately.
However, for the last few days I've been walking around with bandage around my head. It looks like a head band from far away but up close it's impossible to mistake it for anything but bandage. So when I showed up at school with said bandage everyone naturally asked what happened. The truth is so incredibly boring that my initial response became; “I fell from a tree.”. No one questioned the fact that I'd climb a tree which just shows how well they know me. After telling half my class this I got bored with it and following conversation ensued:
Victoria: Is that a bandage?
Me: Yeah.
Victoria: What happened?
Me: I was a hostage in a bank robbery. When they shoot the guy holding a gun at me the bullet grazed the back of my head.
Victoria, quite earnestly: Oh, my god! Really?!
Me: >.< No.
Victoria: Then what happened?
Me: I fell from a tree.
Victoria: Oh...
Deciding the bank robbery story was too unbelievable I later came up with something else:
Fniss: Is that a bandage?
Me: Yeah.
Fniss: What happened?
Me: Umm, Russian roulette with an air gun... >.<
Fniss: o.O Which kind? Soft air gun or air gun?
Me: Hell, I dunno. The one that fires plastic bullets.
Fniss: Soft air gun then, but, I mean, ouch... O.o
Me: Yeah. It hurt.
*silence*
Me: You seriously believe I'd play Russian roulette with an air gun? o.o
Fniss: Absolutely.
And he wasn't the only one who believed me. These people all seem to think I'm absolutely mad, of course they aren't wrong in that but I'd never play Russian roulette with an air gun. >_< Oh, and why am I walking around with a bandage around my head? I had a, umm, pencil accident.
On another point I've joined a club at school, the Tea Club. The Tea Club basically consists of one small room, five sofas, loads of tea, two bookshelves, lots of cups, several teapots, a boiler, the number 42 and loads of crazy people. It's known to be the zaniest club in the school so we, me and two friends, figured we'd fit in perfectly but it turns out that we freak even them out.
