Re: Ask a Moderator!
I've been wondering whether the name Tea Party Mods is still appropriate in 2012, given that the majority of Americans - and even plenty of non-Americans - will hear "Tea Party" in the US politics sense, rather than in the "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" sense. I don't know whether it could be replaced with something more Elder Scrolls-ish, like 'Pelagius's Mind Mods' or 'Shivering Isles Mods'? You know, something to get across the idea that they're mostly responsible for moderating the, uh, crazy parts of the forum
. Even 'Sheogorath's Tea Party Mods' would put the emphasis back on the type of party where you go to enjoy yourself, rather than a political party.

Re: Ask a Moderator!
The status of the Tea Party Mods existed prior to the political implications, and are effectively just moderators in training. Over on the Discord Server, they got renamed as Junior Mods. In fact, practically no staff role across all of uesp is TES themed, to help draw the distinction of their role and their purpose more clear.
For the short duration most folks would be a TPM, the name and reason why they were pink was just to help em appear more fun/approachable. As far as changing the name on the forums, I don't see a reason why would need to

Re: Ask a Moderator!
Also the wiki page about the forums is badly outdated/incomplete. In particular, the details about the list of active moderators, and the info about sending PMs are the things I've noticed so far.
I'm willing to update it myself (if/when I know the answers), but maybe it's preferable that someone with authority makes the edits?

Re: Ask a Moderator!
I'll forward this again to one of the admins. I think I know what the issue is but I can't fix it myself. As for the email, I know your having issues regarding PMs, could you instead use the report feature on this message and list your desired email. I'll see if I can't just personally change it for you.
As per the wiki, thanks for the notice. I'll see if one of the wiki staff will update it after confirmation on who's active/semi-active.

I tried the day of report, but the system won't let me manually add your new email. I've brought it up to the admins, I'm just waiting for one of them to address this. Sorry I couldn't remedy this sooner.

Re: Ask a Moderator!
I'm quite curious to know what's going on with the PM thing. Whether it's affecting all users, or just a particular category of users, or just me.
Re: Ask a Moderator!
Soo... time to ask again... is there only one of you left?
There's an infestation that needs to be dealt with.
Wish there was some way I could help.

Re: Ask a Moderator!
It occurs to me... I've been on a few forums where they have a new-user limitation that all posts by new users go into a moderator queue, and are not visible (to the public) until a moderator approves them. And the limitation goes away when the new user is promoted from "new user" to "user".
Maybe that's an option for your phpBB install. Hopefully, it's just a configuration item that you just have to enable, but, if not, there's a good chance it's available as a plugin you could install.
With this sort of configuration, there would be a much smaller impact when moderators are not available/active for a few days.
