Life's been good to me as a whole. I should check out the discord some time. Back in my day we didn't have Discord, we used the IRC, and that's how we liked it. Ah, the memories.

Right at the very beginning it was nice, a lot of familiar faces from the forums and a small enough crowd of regulars that it felt cozy. It feels bigger and more impersonal now, though maybe that's just because I can't be bothered to get involved in the community as it stands.

im always on discord but the uesp server doesnt really interest me. im sure i dont know 95% of the userbase and i dont know that i really care to.

I'm not really anywhere on the net these days, no social media or other forums. I bug some people on discord in a language learning channel and one other channel but that's it. I try to stay busy and I have a generally slow, peaceful life. In my spare time I like building things like repurposing wood pallets, learning languages and I genuinely enjoy repairing my truck. I don't game like I used to but every now and then I start a new game in an Elder Scrolls or Civ. I don't really have as much time as I used to.

I have now picked up a gun. Colt Dragoon, designed in 1848-- a .45 caliber percussion cap revolver with a 260 grain sugarloaf conical intended to drop enemy cavalry with an Army regulation charge of 36 grains in black powder. Weighs 4.25 pounds with a full load, which is a pound heavier than any of my medieval-era horse swords. 0/10.

As to forum participation, my whole schtick is helping newbies out while bringing out my usual, scary self. That, and my iPhone typing interface is an absolute nightmare. Touchscreens are the worst.

Perhaps with a potential influx of new players who need the best poison recipes, ol' Cassie can brush the dust off all the notes. Does the 'Damage Speed' poison still stop Ogres at even the slightest dose?

When you get the 'invincible Mannimarco' glitch, you can try to drown him, or use your Acrobatics skill to kill him by a cliff drop.

It all comes down to the classic judo argument: "Why hit your opponent with a weapon when you can hit them with an entire planet instead?"
