Suspicious-looking URLs were added to the normal-looking first post in the following thread, which was edited the day after it was originally posted:

Their spam post has now racked up 430 views, so I guess it's been profitable for them to post it here. :(

My guess is most of em were views from bots from the search engines(i.e.the good bots)

But aside from if someone actually followed the spam, most bots wont know if it was worth it if nobody responds or posts in their thread

This one seems to have a stutter, as seen here and here.

There seem to be quite a few spambots getting through recently.

^Was just coming here to report that one. I like ciberzombie's take on it: "kind of spam, but not coherent enough to count as advertizing". :D

One definite: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=78186 ; tiny, colored, almost invisible spam link at the bottom of this post.

One probable: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=78183 ; one generic post followed by another generic post quoting their own first generic post.
