Governing attributes: Do they affect the skills they govern?

Post by Serpya_Wolfgand »

Wiki says they dont, but it seems to contradict itself slightly on it( For a example, the page on Imperials specifically says they can be talented on the Illusion school due to their high personality. ). And my own testing on it shows mixed results.

For a example, on one of my Nord playthroughs, at one point, I was, for reasons not to be discussed here, forced to switch to a sword, a Long Blade. I had merely 15 skillpoints on Long Blades at the time, and about 38 Agility, but very high( 78 ) Strenght. Well... I was apparently able to keep up a very good hitrate. Much less then with axes, the weapon I actually was skilled with, as a Barbarian, but I was hitting enough, times enough, to actually still come out on top on most of the fights. Like, had I to estimate, I was probably hitting 40-50% of the time. Relatively, when I switched to-Bows-Where my skill rating was slightly HIGHER... My hitrate seemed to actively DROP...

On another hand, on a later time, when my Nord took severe damage to their Endurance, their armor didnt seemed to meaningfully change, even though they were wearing mostly Medium armor.
