I got stuck in a dungeon with disease, any advice?

Hey all,

I am in the dungeon 'Labyrinthian' and I got hit with disease about halfway through. At the time, I thought I would just be able to travel to the nearest town outside of the dungeon once I was done there, and so I saved over this and all subsequent game saves (to avoid losing progress if a save corrupted). When I finally got towards the exit, and tried to fast-travel to the closest possible village, I kept on being greeted with the 'you have died screen' from Jagar Tharn. I tried many times to keep fast-travelling to the same place, but to no avail.
I then looked up that it was possible for a potion of cure disease to drop in dungeons, so I set off killing mobs and looting treasure piles. I even did a little save manipulation with one loot pile so that it would keep changing the loot every time I reloaded the save just before I would search the loot pile. I did this many times for around 10 minutes, until I concluded that it wasn't possible to get a potion from loot piles.

The only time I have ever gotten potions in dungeons has been from killing orcs, but I haven't seen a single one in Labyrinthian and I have explored most of the dungeon and all its various floors. If anyone has any tips or advice or getting me out of this predicament, that would be much appreciated. I want to beat this game, and it would suck If I have to start over again.

A mod was created to fix the exact problem you're having. It does require you to patch your save. I recommend making a backup just in case. Your character will be teleported to a temple where you can cure the disease. Arena has a section on the Nexus, and the mod is called Divine Intervention.

That is awesome! I hate getting a disease, especially the ones that permanently affect your stats. In my current playthrough of Arena I'm trying (but sometimes forgetting) to be diligent about saving my game often. If I catch a disease, I immediately reload my most recent save, even if it means losing 15 minutes or more of progress. I'll have to look into this mod.
