Bound Weapon Traits

Post by Secret Magic User »

Does anyone know if the perks from the One-Handed tree also apply to Bound Weapons?

Bound weapons are weapons, as far as I know. I haven't personally done exhaustive testing, but I do know that using them increases both your applicable weapon skill and conjuration, and I'm pretty sure that other magic skill perks will apply through bound weapon attacks. I'm inclined to assume the weapon perks do, too, even if I don't specifically remember having observed it off the top of my head.

I make the same assumption for the same reasons, but I was wondering if anyone had more than a what seems to be a logical assumption.

I can only comment on my experiences in Legendary Edition (vanilla no mods or patches) that the 1-h perks do affect bound weapons. Enchanted gear as well, but enchanted gear won't work on
Spoiler:
bound daggers

Once I hit a certain level and had all the perks in every tree, I stopped carrying any physical weapons and just use a bound sword and bound bow. I definitely get the benefits of the perks on them, although I haven't tried a bound dagger. Just the other week I was fighting some bandits with a bound sword and decapitated one of them, so that definitely works.
