When you complete the Main Quest are the dragons supposed to stop attacking ? I had figured that when I completed the Main Quest that they would, however it appears they are still do. Is this "as designed" or "a glitch" ?

If they disappeared after the Main Quest, that would be an incentive for certain players not to finish it, as they would want a source of dragon souls to unlock Shouts.
Not all dragons would follow Paarthunax's lead. There are plenty who will seek domination even after the loss of Alduin (as they did when he disappeared so very long ago).

Thanks. I just re-read the UESP section on Dragons and it does say they continue to attack.

yea , even after main quest dragons keep on providing more nice loot , target practice and endless dragon souls (but you only need limited amount of of souls)
